Shuddering, I gasped against him, planting both hands either side of him to stop myself from collapsing.

Stars burst to life behind my eyes. More warmth flooded my system, a correctness signaling in my heart as if my lips were meant to be there.

Whoa.

I pulled back, frightened by the rising euphoria, the images of Luke laughing in sunshine, diving into crystal waters in skimpy swimwear, fragments of his life rushing me.

A happier past, a darker present. A blurred future.

And then the ice, glass windows, dead snakes. Luke breaking those windows, weeping, more serpents tumbling to the frozen floor.

“You’re bleeding.” My voice came out loud, a painful boom in my head.

The image broke, shoving me back to reality. Panting, as sweaty as the man beneath me. Beads of moisture dripped off the tip of my nose, splashing his cheek.

So close.

So close.

Luke blinked, a lucid light swirling in those cerulean depths.

“Luke?” I said, sitting up to give him room.

He moaned, wriggling slightly.

I took his hand. “Luke?”

I’d kissed him. I’d kissed him and my lips were left with the aftertaste of cinnamon, my dick loaded with curiosity.

He sat up, propping himself on his elbow. Looked me square in the eye and said, “Strawberry creams.”

“What?”

He blinked at me. “Sorry?”

“You said strawberry cream.”

He groaned, leaning forward. “Do you have any?”

I moved to his side, putting an arm around him.

So warm.

So perfect.

Stop it!

“Do you want a strawberry cream?” I wondered.

“If you’ve got some.”

“I’ve got lemon bon bons.”

His face wrinkled in disgust. “Pass.” He collapsed into my lap, curling himself against me. “Can I stay here a while?” He yawned. “So sleepy.”

“Of course you can.” My fingers glided back and forth through his silky tresses without a care in the world.

They belonged within that auburn goodness.
