My bedroom door closes with a thunderous slam. I consider the ceiling with satisfaction. There was a major tent in his pants when he walked away. I can’t stop smiling as I push off the bed and sprint into my closet

I reach for the skirt without hesitation. It’s a pretty dark sapphire with an almost velvet texture. Ankle length it appears demure but there are slits up each side of it—the slits go to mid-thigh. I grab a silk polo in baby blue and swap my comfy sneakers in white for ones in blue. Then I tighten my ponytail and call it good.

Sandro is leaning against the wall with Kiki in his arms.

“Satisfied, you control-freak?” I ask as I wave at my skirt.

A nod and a smile is his only response before turning and walking toward the elevator.

CHAPTER 25

Carina

I am weirder than I thought because shopping with Sandro for Kiki is the most fun I’ve had in years—I can’t stop smiling. Sandro actually has a wicked sense of humor although there are few times when he’s so dry and sarcastic I’m not sure if he’s kidding or not. I’m sad when he urges us toward the checkout with two shopping carts. All of this is for Kiki, not me, so it’s okay. He reminds me we have to go home and get ready for the fundraiser.

Sighing I follow his ridiculous bossy instruction for me to go wait in the SUV while he pays because he didn’t want me seeing the total and then telling him I can’t keep Kiki.

Once we’re home Sandro leaves it to Bobby to unload everything. I bring Kiki with me into my room while I get dressed. After she follows me around for a little bit she seems to get tired and hops on my bed to watch me.

I’m dressed and not at all sure what to do with my hair. The dress is a filmy, flowy long sleeve column gown with a twist at the waist in a steel gray.

It annoys me to no end the dress is screaming for something around the neck. I go into the closet and the jewelry Sandro bought me. With the classic design of the dress, I decide on the plain big ass diamond necklace and chandelier diamond earrings. The necklace is heavy with round diamonds all the way around with them becoming larger until of what has to be at least a five carat diamond in the center.

Kiki barks frantically. Oh crap, she can’t see me in the walk-in closet. I come out and the moment she sees me she stops, jumps off the bed and runs to me. My chest twists at how happy she is but I have to pull away so she won’t ruin the makeup I spent twenty minutes on.

She doesn’t like it but settles her head onto my arm to stare but at me. Carrying her I go back to the closet to pick out what shoes I’m going to where. As I walk into the closet I’m surprised by a moment of dizziness. It’s strong enough I reach for the wall. A few blinks and it’s gone. Weird. I decide to go with a low black pump. If I’m dizzy in high heels it won’t be pretty.

The low pump is in leather with an ankle strap covered in sparkling crystal flowers. I take them with me to the bed to put on. Setting Kiki on the bed I wonder if she’ll be okay with no one here for the several hours we’ll be gone. She gets excited when I lean down to fasten the strap. Her tongue is too close for me. I take her off the bed. She’s cranky and runs around to the door and scratches at it.

Shoes on I pick a small velvet clutch and fill it with my lipstick, blotting papers, my cell phone, and compact of powder.

Kiki is still scratching at the door. I open and she runs down the hall ahead of me. When I walk into the living it’s to find Sandro putting her in her kennel and closing the door.

“Do you think she’ll be okay?” I worry.

Sandro chuckles. “She will be fine. It will only be for a few hours. We got her a kennel better suited for a great dane. She has a ton of toys, water, and I hate to remind you but she spent weeks in the kennel at the vet’s office.”

Sighing, I nod. She looks fine if a little confused. It’s easier to look at her rather than Sandro. I’m drooling, in both places. He’s in a tuxedo. The man is gorgeous in a suit but it’s unfair how stunning he is in a tuxedo.

“Beautiful, the necklace fits the dress. Are you ready?”

I nod as I follow him out.

Sandro

Carina is back. I’m going to give Natasha a week off, the jet, and twenty grand to spend on vacation for suggesting the dog.

I can’t believe the best date of my life was in a pet store buying for one dog what a dozen dogs might want or need. The amount spent on the dog didn’t matter, Kiki was worth her tiny body in solid gold for how happy she made Carina.

Getting into the back of the limo, I have to adjust my cock for how hard I am thinking of her fighting back over the erotic as fuck yoga pants she was wearing. As erotic as they were, it was nothing compared to the way argued with me. Why the fuck is it so cock-hardening? Is it because no woman ever has? Women were either afraid of me or lusted after me—none of them argued with me.

When I tossed her on the bed I wanted to follow her down and fuck her until she willingly threw away every single pair of yoga pants she had. Her breath caught and her pupils dilated. But she didn’t move, for what felt like an eternity she simply looked up at me. Since she didn’t welcome it by word or even touch I honored my promise and left her there.

It's pathetic how long I’ve been looking forward to tonight. The freedom to touch her, to hold her in my arms by dragging her onto the dance floor when I’ve always scorned dancing before.

On our way back to our table we’re stopped by a man I can’t stand, William stone is a pretentious dick. His family money is the only interesting thing about him. He runs his eyes over Carina, an eyebrow goes up. “Sandro, always with the arm candy. All style no substance.”
