Amy had to bite back a smile. This was Sam. Foul mouthed, feisty and fierce.

“We need to get Rachel and get out of here.”

Sam nodded, her hand rising to her head.

“Are you okay?” Amy asked when her sister swayed.

Sam blinked, reaching out a hand to steady herself, then nodded.

“I’m good. Let’s get the fuck out of this hell hole.”

Amy nodded and they moved to Rachel’s cell.

Chapter Thirty-One

Cole secured the long energy blaster to his back, making sure to stick a few extra cells into his pockets. Cane and Iron were getting ready as well, their bodies covered from head to toe in weapons.

He could feel the nervous pulses from the symbiotes on his skin.

“She will be alright,” he said softly, trying to reassure Kisma.

“I can sense that she is alive, but I cannot reach her. She is in danger, warrior. We must get to her.” Kisma said, filling his mind with worry once again.

“I hope you’re not planning on going without us,” A voice called from the entrance to the armory. Cole spun to find Lace, Dio, Roam, Razor, Sena and Ice standing by the door. When Ice stepped in to go to Iron, Cole frowned to see Steel standing behind the group. His eyes glowed with a fire that he knew all too well. Steel was in killing mode. He wanted blood. Korok blood.

Cole ran his eyes over the male, taking in the sleek, dark metal arms and legs that the scientists had attached for him. He’d never seen enhancements like that before. All the warriors here had silver metal, but Steels was a dark grey, almost black.

“Steel?” Iron asked, also noticing the male.

Steel stepped forward, bowing his head to Iron.

“Commander.”

“Are you sure about this, Steel?” Cane asked as he stepped up to Cole’s side.

Ice spoke when Steel remained silent.

“Word that Amy was taken has spread. She is Steel’s Goddess, and he wants to fight for her. I say we let him. Smoke has fitted him with the latest in enhancements and they are incredible.”

Steel just stared at Cole with emotionless eyes and waited. When Cole saw the male’s hands curl into fists, he knew that the warrior wasn’t totally lost to them. Steel was in there, he just needed help finding his way out of the dark.

“Let him come,” Cane said, turning to Iron.

Iron considered the male for a moment, then nodded, “Very well. Get your weapons.”

“I have everything I need,” Steel said, raising his metal arms to look down at them.

Cole’s brows shot up when he saw the males arms crackle with electricity before they began to shift and change into a new shape. The two large energy blasters that replaced his arms made a tinge of jealousy run through Cole. He would need to look into getting upgrades on his enhancements when they got back. For now, they had to save Amy.

Turning back to Cane, he nodded to say he was ready. Once the rest of the team had their weapons, they all made their way out of the compound and stopped at the sight of dozens of warriors standing in formation on the sands. Each one was in full battle uniform, with weapons ready.

Cole smiled and turned to Iron.

“They all want to help,” Ice said with a bright smile, “Amy is as much a part of our family now as all of us. When you hurt one, you hurt us all.”

Cole took a moment to run his gaze over Ice. Her symbiote had saved her from the explosion, but she still had a long, ugly burn on her arm and a few thin cuts on her face. If not for the black substance, Ice would have been killed in the medical unit.

Iron stepped forward, addressing all the warriors on the sand, “This is a full-scale attack on the Korok fortress,” He began, “They are heavily armed and have the advantage that they will see us coming up the rocks. There is no hiding our approach. The objective is to find Amy and the other humans and get them out safely. Once we have them secure, we will begin the complete destruction of the fortress and all those that live there. I want every stone crushed and every Korok dead before the suns set tonight!”
