“Sweetheart, I’m so glad you came back,” Avaleigh said, hugging Tempest.

“Me, too.”

“You managed to run away, I only threatened to do it,” Avaleigh said.

“It wouldn’t have mattered, you’d have been right back just like I am. When it’s right, you have to stop fighting it,” Tempest said.

“She’s right,” Daniel said, just giving Tempest a hint of a hug. He still didn’t like to touch any female but his Avaleigh. “Besides, I’d have hunted you down, Avaleigh.”

“Right?! I had no choice,” Brandt said.

Daniel nodded. “Gotta keep our women at our sides safe and happy.”

“Okay, move along, old people,” Hellen said, gently pushing her way in to get to Tempest with Daisy right at her side.

“I’m so glad you’re back!” Daisy said.

“Oh, me, too. I won’t make that mistake again.”

“As long as my brother doesn’t make his mistake again.”

“He won’t. We figured things out and we’re better than before.”

“I’m so glad.”

“You can’t leave again. I can’t handle all the males on my own when yours is gone after you. They all think they’re the boss, and I have to remind them that the boss is gone. And I’m the number three until he gets back.”

Tempest laughed. “Number three?”

“Yep. Brandt, then you, then me,” Hellen said.

“Hold on! I’m number three,” Barron snapped.

“No, you’re not. We all just let you think that,” Hellen said.

“Brandt!” Barron shouted.

“You two stop it! I’m not doing this tonight. You all know exactly where you stand,” Brandt said with a grin.

“Yeah. I just said, I’m three,” Hellen said defensively.

“Hellen, stop torquing Barron,” Brandt ordered.

Tempest was laughing so hard she was starting to snort a little.

“You see? You can’t leave,” Hellen insisted, making eye contact with Tempest.

“I’m not going anywhere. I’m afraid you’re all stuck with me.”

Hellen let out a howl, sharp and high-pitched, which was joined immediately by Maverik and Ronan.

Barron rushed over and scooped Tempest up, hugging her and bouncing her in the air.

“Barron, put my woman down!” Brandt insisted.

Barron grinned at Brandt. “You’re lucky you saw her first.”

“Really?” a gorgeous girl with long, wavy dark hair asked, moving sensually toward them. It wasn’t that she was attempting to be sensual, it was that it permeated everything about her. “Is that how you really feel?”
