“I like you, too. This wild side of you is so much fun.”

“I like this side of me, too. It’s refreshing not to be afraid all the time.”

“Never have to fear with me,” he said, pulling her in to his arms.

“Never have to fear with me, either,” she said, pressing her lips to his.

Fate finally allowed them to experience real love. Not the kind of love that comes from being mates, that kind of bond was always there. But the kind of love that makes you smile indulgently when your partner does that little twist with his hips while dancing that is totally out of rhythm with the song, but he’s having so much fun, it makes you happier to see it than it does him to do it. The kind of love that makes you laugh along with your partner when they spill their chocolate shake down their blouse, but instead of getting all upset, she laughs, so you spill yours, too, so she doesn’t feel like the only klutz in the relationship. The kind of love that only comes from truly enjoying the time you get to spend with each other. The kind that grows more and more with each passing moment spent together, because not only do you physiologically belong together, you want to be together, you choose to be together, because no one makes you happier.

An hour later, they finally waded out of the pond and ran back to the truck, their lips blue, their bodies shivering, laughing endlessly. Sitting beside each other in the cab, holding each close, Analise raised her face to Havoc’s. “I want to make love with you.”

He raised a hand and gently stroked his fingertips down her cheek. “Here?” he asked.

“Yes. Here in the grass, beneath the moon, with everything wild around us.”

He opened the door and got out of the truck without taking his eyes off hers, his hand holding hers the entire time.

She slid out of the truck, and when he lay her down in the grass, she pulled him closer to her, kissing him, tasting him, pouring all of her soul into him. He let her lead, this night was about things he’d never given her, things she’d never given him, and this moment was no different. They stroked and kissed, and tested, and experimented as though it was their first time, because though they’d shared a night a week previous, this was the first night they’d actually make love, baring everything they were and gifting it to one another. For him the last time was about claiming. For her it was about curiosity and answers. This time, was about love.

After what seemed like hours of petting, Havoc finally rose up over her and pressed himself inside her.

Analise lifted her legs and hooked them around his waist to open herself up and make herself more accessible to him. He thrust into her body, holding himself up with one arm, while the other hand cupped her cheek as he stared into her eyes.

One of her hands was clutching at the small of his back, while the other was wrapped firmly around his bicep, both of her legs around his waist, her hips rolling with his, as he slowly carried them to a crescendo unlike anything either one of them had ever experienced.

Analise cried out, his name on her lips as his own cries matched hers, his voice rasping her name as his hips pumped her full of his release, marking her inside as his. Her chest was heaving, her channel still twitching as she turned her head and pushed her hair away from her throat.

“’Lise?” he asked, wanting to mark her properly more than anything, but not willing to take that decision from her.

Analise looked up at him. “We both know I’m yours. Make it official.”

“Am I safe enough?” he asked, wanting to be sure she wasn’t just caught up in the moment.

“Oh, Havoc. You’re better than safe, you’re home.”

Havoc leaned his head against hers, fighting the tears that threatened to spill. When he finally managed to get himself together, he raised his head and looking into her eyes. “You’re home, too, ‘Lise. It’s only ever been you.”

“I love you,” she whispered.

“I love you,” he answered.

She raised her head and licked the side of his neck, while he lowered his lips to hers.

She suckled gently at his throat, and he did the same.

He rolled his hips, giving her a sensation to concentrate on other than just the impending marking.

She moaned in pleasure and pressed her hips against him, begging wordlessly for more.

He pulled back just enough to be able to thrust into her, and as the tip of his cock kissed the deepest part of her, his teeth pierced her skin. When she felt his teeth sink into her flesh, she bit down, marking him at exactly the same time.

Havoc began rolling his hips, holding himself as deep inside her as he could while flexing just enough to give her some sensation of friction.

Analise began to whimper, causing Havoc to slide a hand between them so he could stroke her clit, sending her over the edge into orgasm, which in turn caused him to orgasm again, filling her even fuller of his release than he already had. As their shared ecstasy died down, their panting stopped and finally they unclenched their jaws, each finally letting the other go.

When he raised his head to look down at her, they both smiled, then grinned, and ended up laughing. “How do you feel?” he asked.

“Satisfied. Complete. Home.” She kissed his lips. “How do you feel?”
