“At peace. I finally feel like I belong. I’m home, too.” He took the time to give her a slow, romantic kiss. When he was done, he gazed lovingly at her. “I only have one question.”

She nodded, waiting for his question.

“What are we going to do on our second date?”

Analise laughed. “We get a second date?” she asked happily.

“We get a date every week. It’s not negotiable. We will always make time for each other, and remind each other of just how much we not only love each other, but actually like each other.”

“Deal. I would love that.”

“Then we will have it. But for now, I really need to get my mate up off this cold ground and get her home so I can get her warmed up and tucked safely in our bed.”

They rode home quietly, holding hands, soaking in the afterglow. When they pulled up in front of Analise’s parents’ home, she looked questioningly at him. “I thought we were going to your house?”

“Emmalyn is at my house with Harley. I thought we’d enjoy the rest of our night alone here. Then go back there tomorrow.”

“I love that idea,” she said, sliding across the seat to sit in his lap.

Havoc kissed her, his hands roving her body. He pulled back just for a moment, and rubbed the end of his nose against hers. “Any regrets at all?” he asked, almost afraid to hear her answer.

“Not one. Not a single one. If everything hadn’t happened just as it has, we might never have met this side of each other. We had so much growing to do, so much changing to do. It may have never happened if we weren’t forced to be apart. So, no. There is not a single regret. This is where we belong, this is how we belong, and I don’t think we ever really did until now.”

“Any regrets?” she asked him.

“Only that I had to put this damn suit back on to drive home. Otherwise, I’d be inside you again already.” He growled and nipped her lips as he lifted his hips up at the same time he pressed her down against his swollen cock.

Analise laughed and lapped at the mating mark on his neck, causing him to hiss in pleasure. “Then you’d better hurry up. I’m tired of waiting. I’m going to ride you right here in this truck, in front of my parents’ house.”

Havoc grabbed the keys and turned off the engine, opened the door and got out, with her still sitting astride his hips. He half-jogged to her front door and she dug in her purse for the keys so he could unlock the door. They both practically fell into the house, laughing and kissing as he ran down the hallway to her bedroom, where they stripped and made love until dawn, so they could greet the sunrise as a newly mated couple.

Epilogue

Four months later…

“Mommy!”

Analise rolled over and opened her eyes.

“I’d actually be willing to pay good money if we could find a way to make that child sleep past 6:30 A.M.” Havoc grumbled beside her.

Analise laughed tiredly. “I’d add to whatever you paid.”

“You getting up, or me?” Havoc asked.

“I’m being paged, so I’m getting up.”

“Mommmmy!” Harley shouted as she ran up the stairs and barged into her parents’ bedroom, followed closely by Emmalyn who bounced into the bed between Havoc and Analise, right along with Harley.

“What are you doing here?” Analise asked, hugging her sister happily.

“Yeah, what are you doing here?” Havoc echoed, trying to keep the quilt covering his only-underwear-clad body.

“That’s what I was trying to tell you! Aunt Emmalyn was at the door. But I let her in.”

“Why?” Havoc grumbled, still grasping the covers over his lower body.

“Because the little-Hellen-like child likes me. Maybe even better than she likes you,” Emmalyn said dryly.
