Damn! He had to stall them until Tyne, or his guys made it. All he could hope was that Missy had some protective skills. Looking her way, he saw she had a big gun out. Was that a riot gun? Maybe they had some hope after all.

The window broke and the gun went off making the guy climbing in the window fall backward. That knocked the guy behind him down too. More guys crowded the window and now he had to turn his attention back to the hallway. They must have twenty guys storming them or more.

Several of the guys were out on the floor but Missy was using a different gun which looked like a rifle to hit those trying to attack her fast. There seemed to be no more bullets and it wouldn’t be long before they would get her. He could hear a vehicle pull up, but who would it be? Tank was getting tired, but the guys running at him were still flying back. More guys rushed on, but thankfully they were attacking those attacking him and Missy.

There were less attacking them as those that had been were restrained. He saw Moe and Tyne, thank the goddess. Finally, they got all of them and he and Missy collapsed onto her bed. “What happened?” Tyne asked as Moe moved up and hugged his female.

“They just broke in and I helped Missy keep them busy until you got here.” Tank offered.

Tyne pulled up one guy who Tyne thought was a leader. “Why did you attack here?”

“We’re after her. She’s a white wolf and he wants her. He won’t stop either.” The leader said.

“Who is he?” Tyne asked,

“He’s an alpha’s son. The guy didn’t tell us much and we aren’t his. You could let us go and you’ll never see us again.” The guy mentioned hopefully.

“There has to be a punishment for bad behavior.” Moe observed. They sent most of the guys back with their security guys. “He’ll keep trying and we don’t even know who he is.”

“So, what now?” Missy asked.

“Any place to leave a couple guys?” Tyne asked,

“We could set up a bed in the back. I planned to get the place ready for a renter.” Missy observed.

“Let’s get it done.” Moe suggested.

Missy led the guys out while Moe cleared the spot for the bed. The guys would take turns being on guard so only a bed for one at a time was needed. She had an idea to put the guard to work. It wasn’t like she didn’t need help. Tyne’s guys weren’t lazy, if they were, he’d get rid of them.

When the room was ready, Tyne and Moe left and everyone, but the guard turned in to rest, Morning would come quickly enough. At least none of her renters had seemed to wake up. How had that had happened? Her alarm went off seemingly right after she went to sleep. She got coffee going and the guard came and got a cup then kept her company.

Once breakfast was done, he ate then went to wake his buddy. The other guard came out quickly and Tank joined them too. They all ate then she put up leftovers, started lunch in the oven and supper in the crockpot, then joined the guys on the fence. Tank had the guard working with him. She helped where she could.

Tyne sent a text. Some of the guys had been wanted by the council and he would split the pay with her. It would cover his fees and the costs of the guards for some time. She was feeling pretty good about that. Moe and Tyne were being pretty good to her. Family was the best.
