“Why did you decide to do this in the US and not Canada?” I ask.

He shrugs. “More money to be made here than back home, a lot of the people that come here have deep pockets and settle scores with rivals. Technically I’m not breaking the laws of the treaty with the families, kind of.”

I balk at him. “Yes you are, you're not supposed to enter the US without consent.”

“Who said I entered the States?” I frown, not grasping his meaning. “I don’t need to be here for this to run smoothly. Put it this way, the guy who runs it for me is someone who is trusted in your family.” My face slackens as realization dawns on me, there is only one person my family trusts completely.

“Uncle Luka,” I breathe out.

He nods. “Just to be clear, your Uncle Rook knows about this too and turns a blind eye to it because it keeps Luka from hanging out at his house every night.” I shake my head, Uncle Rook hated Aunt Clare cooking dinner for her brother nightly, I think it made him jealous since Aunt Carlina never did that for him.

“Don’t tell me anymore, the less I know the better.” He smiles and nods, then continues leading me through the woods. When we break the tree line, I slam to a stop forcing him to halt from the grip I have on his hand. It’s like a scene out of a movie, cars are parked in a large circle in the middle of this field with their lights on, people form a circle around the two in the center that are fighting. Their cheers are so loud I want to cover my ears, being an MMA fighter means if I am caught at an illegal fight ring like this I will be disqualified and never allowed to enter the octagon again.

“Say the word and we can leave now and act like this never happened,” he says offering me an out but the truth is, excitement is thrumming through me at the prospect of fighting here tonight.

I turn to look up at him. “I want to fight.”

His face morphs from calm to aggressive in a split second. “No,” he snaps before pulling me along. I try to struggle but he just keeps yanking me behind.

“Why not?” I shout.

“Because I said so,” he snarls.

“You are not the boss of me and you sure as fuck are not my father!” He whirls around so fast I crash into his chest. He grips my chin in his free hand and forces my gaze to his.

“It would be a bit fucking nasty if I was your daddy since you swallowed my cum.” I gape up at him, feeling the heat in my cheeks. “I’m the boss here, not you or your daddy. Your last name means nothing in this place, this is the underground. You don’t fight tonight, you watch and learn. This is training for you. They might not be paid fighters like you, but these people have no choice but to win. Learn from their determination and watch how they push the limits to win, they will sacrifice anything to win because their life depends on it. Yours doesn’t, keep that shit in mind.”

I’m sick, his manhandling and dominance has me getting hot and needy for him all over again.

Taylan

I keep Destiny beside me as I maneuver through the crowd until I spot Riley, he is the real reason we are here tonight. After learning what I did about Koda, there are only so many places he can hide in this city. Bishop may have men hunting him and all roads out of the city blocked, but the connections you can garner from being a member of the underground gives you extra protection and offers more places to hide that the Don has no idea about. I can’t tell her the truth, if she knew the very thing I created could be the reason her nightmare is able to hide would sure as hell seal my coffin closed after she ratted me out to her family.

When Riley spots me his eyes widen with surprise. “I expected more of a crowd,” I tease him. He smiles and shakes my hand. Riley was picked by Luka to manage the fights when he couldn’t make it.

“I never thought I would see you here in the flesh. Is everything okay? I swear all the books are up to date?—”

I cut him off before he can continue. “Everything is good, I’m just here to blow off some steam.”

HIs brows jump to his hairline. “You want to fight?”

I shrug and act uninterested. “Got nothing else to do.”

“Man, this shit is going to go crazy when I announce you as a fighter.” He cuts his gaze to Destiny. I shift blocking her from view and glare at him. “You keep your eyes off her,” I snarl.

He raises his hands. “I wasn’t looking at her like that, boss, I swear.” I narrow my eyes in warning. “When people realize who you are and see your girl it might not be… safe for her.”

I grind my teeth as I dart my gaze around. “Got a ride here?” He nods and points to a blacked-out Dodge pickup, three cars over. “Give me your keys.” He hands them over without any questions. I drag Destiny behind me as I make my way toward the truck. I tug the passenger door open and turn, lifting her by her hips. I place her on the edge of the seat and force my way between her legs. She crosses her arms over her chest and stares down at me with an annoyed glint in her eyes.

“I’m not a child you can lock in a car, Taylan.”

I smirk up at her. “Be a good girl and stay in the fucking truck.”

“Or what?” she snaps.

I grip the tops of her thighs—she sucks in a sharp breath. “Want me to fuck you against this truck where anyone could see?” Her eyes darken and her breaths turn choppy, she fucking loves the idea. I brush the tips of my fingers across the top of her pussy loving how she trembles from that simple touch. “Stay here and be a good girl and I’ll reward you when I get done.”

She darts her tongue out to moisten her lips and nods eagerly. “O-okay.”
