I look around me and take in every detail, I memorize the amount of turns we take and count out the guards as we pass. The moment we enter a little kitchenette, Koda motions toward a seat by a tiny table, then the fucker shoves me into it. I shoot the cunt a glare but say nothing. Koda takes a seat opposite me and waves his men away so we are alone. He places a bottle of water in front of me, I swipe it off the table. The bastard is quick, he strikes out slapping me across my face, splitting my lip open again. I spit the blood on the table between us.
“Still a dog I see,” he sneers.
“Still a cocksucker I see,” I taunt. His eyes darken as he grinds his teeth, trying to reign in his temper—he was never good at controlling himself.
“Why do you insist on constantly pushing me?”
I scoff. “Because fucking with you has always been my favorite game.”
His nostrils flare. “I’ll break you again, you know that, don’t you?”
I cross my arms over my chest and smile wide as I recline back in my chair. “You may have broke my hymen, baby, but you sure as fuck didn’t break me.”
“Suka!” (Bitch) he snarls, his upper lip twitching as I watch him war within himself. “You know why you are here. Give me what I want and I won’t kill you.”
I laugh, this motherfucker must be smoking some good fucking herbs if he thinks I will give him what he wants. My laughter is cut off when a hand grips the back of my head and slams my face into the table top. I groan, but bite the inside of my cheek when the cunt behind me yanks me back by my hair only to slam my face again.
“Dostatochno.” (Enough.) The bastard releases me. I peer over my shoulder to see it’s the cunt with the burnt neck. He leers at me with a hungry look in his eyes. I shoot him a vicious look before turning back to Koda. “You forget who I am and what I am capable of.”
“I forget nothing. I remember exactly how your fists feel. I know exactly what you are capable of doing. I’m not that same stupid kid anymore,” I grit out through clenched teeth.
“You always did have a way of bringing out the worst in me, didn’t you?” The hint of humor in his tone has me grinding my teeth to the point of pain. “Your father will give me what I want.”
“No the fuck he won’t. You forget, you stupid prick, who trained me to endure everything that you are about to put me through. I may be a Murdoch but I am also a Volkov.” At the mention of my mother’s maiden name his face turns an angry shade of red. He snaps his arm out, tangling his fingers in my hair and yanks me forward. We’re nose to nose. I smile, knowing I’ve hit a nerve. “Do your worst, baby, it won’t change the fact that I will always be a Volkov and you will always be nothing but the shit beneath my shoe.” To drive my point home and to fuck with him I seal my lips to his relishing in the angry roar that tears from him when he shoves me back. Manic laughter comes from me as I stare at the fucker.
“Vodi yeye seychas!” (Waterboard her now!) I brace myself when the fucker obeys his boss and yanks me to my feet by my hair. This time I don’t take it like a bitch. I spin around ignoring the burning sensation in my scalp as I jab him right in the throat. Before he can stumble away from me, I rip his gun from his side and unload two bullets in his chest before turning to Koda. The fucker darts out a side door I didn’t see earlier.
I race out of the door and shoot one of the guards running at me in the head. I keep my gun raised as I bend down and disarm him. I shove two clips in my bra and take his walkie talkie. I listen to what the men are saying in Russian, dumb fucks have no idea I’m fluent. I take off down the corridor when I hear one of them say that I must have bolted out the back door. I peer around each corner before darting back toward the room Taylan and Kimber are being held in. I sigh in relief when I spot the door open, the moment I enter my eyes widen. Two fuckers hold Taylan down on his knees while another guy is pawing at Kimber, without hesitation I raise my gun and bury a bullet in the back of the bastards head. The two holding Taylan release him and reach for their guns but they’re too slow, I lodge a bullet in each of their skulls.
“Russia, if you are going to freak out, now is not the time,” Kimber snaps as she begins to grab the fuckers gun that was pawing at her. Taylan rushes to me after getting a gun from the other dead fuckers and comes straight to me. He cups my face between his hands.
“Hang on for a little bit longer, Slayer, can you do that?” Unable to form words, I just nod my head. He pushes his lips to the side and looks like he wants to say more, but I jerk out of his hold when someone orders over the walkie talkie to check on the prisoners.
“We need to move, they’re coming back,” I say. Taylan orders us to stay behind him as he leads us out of the room. I latch onto my adrenaline, knowing that it is the only thing holding me together right now. Kimber grabs my arm and pushes me in the middle. I shake my head but she shoves me forward again.
“You’re worth more alive,” she whispers.
“My life is not worth more than yours,” I say. Shock colors her features before I tear my gaze away and follow after Taylan. I’m alerted when he begins firing the second he opens a door. I lean against the wall opposite him, then dart my head forward to peer into the warehouse where the cars are parked. Shouts are heard throughout the warehouse and my stomach sinks at the sheer number of men, we can’t take them all. “Where is my family?” I ask Kimber.
“They were trying to find a way to breach the fence line, it’s rigged with explosives.” Something isn’t adding up, there is no way my dad wouldn’t say fuck it and barrel through the fence at the sound of gunshots. I have this gut feeling that something is wrong. I eye Kimber warily suddenly seeing her in a different light. Her eyes narrow the longer we stand here staring at each other.
Motherfucker!
I grab Taylan’s arm and yank him back to me, he whirls around about to snap but I beat him to it. “She’s working with them, my family isn’t here.”
“Slayer, now isn’t the time to fuck with me when twenty or so men are out there trying to kill us!” he shouts before snatching the gun off Kimber and then going back to shooting. I raise my gun and point it at her. She stiffens as she looks down the barrel of my gun.
“Come tomorrow I am going to be a mess and probably break down as tonight is the first time I have ever killed someone, but adding you to the list of dead people isn’t something I will grapple with.” Taylan pushes the door closed and looks between us with worry.
“Put the fucking gun down, she is on our side?—”
I cut him off before he can continue. “My family would have blown that fucking fence down, they aren’t here are they?” I push. She looks from me to Taylan and the moment he sees the look in her eyes he gasps.
“What have you done?” he mutters.
“He has my daughter, I didn’t have a choice, Tay.” More shots can be heard outside the door. I push the gun against her forehead.
“Show us the fucking way out or I will kill you,” I seethe. She shoots Taylan a look imploring him to understand. I don’t have time for this shit. “Move your ass now!” I shout. She jerks in fright.
