“Do you miss him? I mean, in that way.”
“Sometimes. But his friendship means more to me than anything physical between us. We’ve been
through hell and back and I’d be lost without him.”
Chase blew out a breath. She hadn’t rejected him. She’d even been turned on by it, and now she was
cuddling in his arms. Maybe Richard was right. Sharing secrets would strengthen their relationship.
He hugged her tighter to his chest—the most wonderful woman in the world. “I love you.”
“I love you, too,” she said and leaned up to kiss his jaw.
She was quiet for a few minutes. “They really had sex in front of you?”
“They started out here but moved to the bedroom.”
“Why?”
“I didn’t know how you’d react if you woke up and saw them.”
“Did you want to watch?”
“I wouldn’t have minded.”
She was quiet again and he relaxed, closing his eyes and resting his chin on top of her head.
“Chase?”
“Yeah?”
“How can three men have sex at the same time?”
Chase blinked, confused. Was she serious? With all that she’d experienced, how could she not
know how it worked? But her expression was a mix of desire and sincere curiosity. “Didn’t you see it
at the Gathering?”
“I wasn’t paying attention to what was going on around me.” She gave him a shy smile, and he
grinned.
“I’m sure you’ll see it sometime.” Would she want to see him with other men? Would she want to
join in? She was a demi-Immortal after all. She wouldn’t be content with vanilla sex every night.
She’d need variety. Jayson would want to, but Chase wasn’t sure if it was a good idea, considering
how he felt about her. And Ethan . . . That was a whole other batch of complicated.
He shifted in his seat. “Have you been with two men before?” He grimaced at his own question,
remembering how Damian and Aiden treated her the night he returned to Boston.
She looked down at her hands and nodded. “Sometimes it hurt.” She looked up. “Sometimes it felt
good.”
