Mom sighs and shakes her head. “I don’t think there's any point. She’s Eden.”
“Yeah, that's true.” We both laugh.
James had the same reaction as Kai. He didn’t enjoy the fact that Mom was going to go see other men naked but understood this was for her best friend.
He also stated that he trusted her and he was the one she was coming home to. Husband goals right there.
Also, I heard Mom mention to my aunties that James made sure she was reminded who owns her heart and body. I can only imagine. Actually, never mind, that's an image I never want to see.
As for the other guys, only Logan knows. Mostly because I haven’t seen Owen or Elijah much the past few days. And with being official with Logan now, it felt right to tell him.
He, also isn’t too happy, but he said to have fun and thanked me for being so amazing with helping him with Benny this past week.
He didn’t need to thank me. I loved every moment of it.
Benny is doing a lot better; the cream has helped a lot. He seems to be back to his old, sweet, bubbly self.
He’s not without some trauma. Benny doesn’t seem to like it when anyone leaves the room and will cry if we do. Not that anyone wants to leave him alone for any amount of time.
It’s just going to be hard on Logan when school starts back up.
“Laney.” Winter stops me as I go to follow my mom and aunties.
“Is everything okay?” My eyes widen. “Shit, is this too much for you? If you’re not comfortable, I wouldn’t be offended if you don't come in. I can come with you for the drive home.”
“No.” She shakes her head. “It’s not that...”
“You said dicks didn’t scare you,” I pointed out.
“Yes, but I didn’t think you were talking about this.” She waves her hand at the club.
“I’m sorry.”
“Don’t be,” she sighs. “Are you sure there’s not any other club we could go to?” she asks nervously.
“Why, what’s wrong with this one? My auntie knows the owner. This is the only one I’d be able to get into.”
She chews on her lower lip. “Fine,” she sighs. “But I need to be drunk as fuck for this.”
My brows shoot up as we walk towards the club. That was weird.
The doorman asks my name, but my Auntie Eden says I’m with her, and he lets me in.
Music and cheers fill the air. I smile when I see the place is all decked out for Christmas.
“Come on, Laney!” Auntie Eden shouts excitedly. “Let’s go see some candy canes.”
“Oh god.” I laugh as she pulls me toward the stage.
“I’m going to get a drink!” Winter calls out.
“Oh, I’ll come too!” Auntie Eden leaves me with Mom and Auntie Sylvia.
“This is weird,” I tell Mom, taking a seat on the chair.
Both women are watching the man, who’s currently dressed as an elf and half-naked.
I smile, shaking my head because they are not paying attention to me. My eyes find the guy, and I can see why they are so entranced with him. He’s hot. But my guys are hotter.
