Coco.

They depended on him. They were happy. They were loved.

He wouldn't let a woman who gave her son away destroy them.

"Get him another one. He's been holding it together too fucking long." Roar planted his hand on Peer's back and pulled out a chair, pushing him down on his ass.

"I need to get home." He set the empty bottle on the table.

"Nei, brother. Have another one." Elling removed the cap and gave him a beer. "We'll call Coco and have her come pick you up. Let us take care of everything this time."

"She needs to be here." He rubbed his hand across his face and pushed out of the chair. "I don't want her to be at home alone with Tyr."

"Sit." Roar pushed him back down. "Finish your beer."

"I need to get—"

"I hear you." Roar got in his face. "I sent Marcus over to the house already. He's going to escort Coco and your son to the clubhouse. They'll be here soon. I need you to calm and tell me what's going on."

He took another shot of Aquavit and followed it by the whole bottle of beer.

Then, the drinks hit him, and the fear settled in his stomach.

Fisting his hands on the table, he looked Roar in the eyes. "Did Elling tell you she's shacking up with a Bantorus member?"

"Ja." Roar pulled up a chair. "I sent them over as soon as I heard in case there was trouble."

"I don't know if he was there." His shoulders sagged with the weight of everything happening at once. "Kelli answered the door."

Roar's eye twitched. "If she's involved with Bantorus and she's got a beef with you, we need to expect trouble to land on our heads. Now isn't the time with the Feds around to be caught unaware."

"I never got around to discussing her life and why she's living with Simmons. The only thing I told her was she wasn't allowed around Tyr or Coco." He closed his eyes an extra beat. "She's going to get a lawyer and go for custody."

Roar looked away. He'd already told his president he'd take Tyr and go to Norway. There was nothing more to discuss.

His only option was to run away. He wouldn't allow someone to hurt his son. Kelli had already abandoned Tyr. She'd done enough damage.

His heartbeat slowed. He stared at the table. There was only one thing he needed to do.

In the background, he heard Roar, Brage, and Elling talking about him. Talking about Bantorus Motorcycle Club. Talking about the Federal Agent. Talking about Slag.

Nobody was talking about Coco. Nobody was talking about how it'd kill him to leave her here.

He reached for the Aquavit and took another drink. How was he going to walk away from Coco?

Pushing himself out of the chair, he stepped forward to go home. He needed to see her.

"Hey." Brage put his hand on Peer's chest, stopping him. "You're not going anywhere. Marcus is two minutes out with Coco."

He heard but he couldn't figure out what that had to do with him leaving. He'd need a passport for Tyr. That was the only way he could get him to Norway.

"Peer?" Brage patted his arm. "Coco will give you a ride home when she gets here."

"She's here?" He looked around. "Where is she?"

The noise in the room muffled his hearing. He patted his pocket, looking for his cell phone. He'd call Coco.

She always knew what to do. He needed her.
