Page 94 of Claiming Her Alpha
“Better at kicking ass, huh?” Andrew chuckled.
“That seems to be my strong side,” she smirked back.
“Thank you for having us, Luna.”
“Thank you for coming, Beta Gabriel. Please keep in touch.”
He nodded and with a firm indication for Andrew to follow him, they left.
Kendra waited until the door closed before she smiled at Ryker. “I like him.”
“He’s good at his job.”
“I don’t think Alpha Vallerian would accept anything less.”
“He doesn’t.”
“Why don’t we go see the others now?”
The morning was spent saying their farewells while Kendra also showed him around the village. Though he felt comfortable in his new role, it was still odd to be the alpha of a pack that he didn’t know. Kendra’s mind soothed, reassuring him he was doing great.
After lunch Kendra took his hand in hers and twisted their fingers together. “C’mon.”
“Where are we going?”
She grinned mischievously and closed off her mind. “You’ll see.”
Though he couldn’t read her thoughts, she couldn’t hide her excitement. She was practically bouncing in place. With a bright grin on her face, she walked out the back door. His eyes widened as she stripped on the spot. He quickly looked around, his wolf protesting the thought of anyone seeing her naked.
She laughed wholeheartedly and began to sprint towards the woods, her body blurring as her feet turned into paws.
‘C’mon, slowpoke!’ she teased in the bond, her wolf’s tail wagging.
Without a second thought he shifted, his clothes tearing to pieces around him. ‘Fuck.’
‘We’ll buy you new ones,’ she laughed.
His feet moved quickly as he raced to catch up to her form disappearing into the woods.
‘A little out of shape, huh?’ she teased even more.
‘You’re walking on thin ice, little luna.’
‘I don’t mind getting wet.’
He’d caught up to her and was now right behind her. He stretched out, snapping at her tail–but she was just out of reach. When she leaped over a fallen tree, he took his opportunity, using the trunk to push himself into the air. He bolted forward, reaching out and pulled her to the ground with his front paws.
‘Gotcha,’ he cheered.
‘Good little alpha,’ she praised, making his knees turn to jelly. She rolled onto her back, her puppy eyes staring up at him. ‘What are you gonna do with your prey?’
‘I usually eat it up but I might change that tradition to eating it out.’
‘I’m all for it–after I take you to where I want to go.’
‘Fine by me, little luna.’ He lovingly licked her cheek before stepping back and letting her get back up. ‘Can I know where we’re going? Or is it a surprise?’
‘It’s a surprise but I’m sure you’ll love it.’
