“I want to work out with both of you.”

Isaiah raised a brow at that. Though he worked out enough to stay fit, he preferred the office to the gym. “Why both?”

“Because if I’m to do something you enjoy, you’ll do something I enjoy.”

“So we are allowed to choose something we want to do with you?” Asher asked, maybe a little too hopeful—he didn’t care.

“Yes. Once a week you two can choose something we do together. Either you can both pick something or alternate—I really don’t care. But it can’t be sex.”

“What a shame,” Asher teased.

“But fair,” Isaiah scolded. “Anything else?”

“I’m not playing happy family for everyone else.”

“Okay,” they both agreed.

“Since we technically had our first workout today, can we choose something?”

To Asher’s surprise, she nodded.

Isaiah could sense where he was going. “Come back to bed and sleep?”

One of her eyebrows shot up.

“No sex,” Asher clarified. “But you never said cuddling was off the table, maybe even just holding hands.”

She bit her inner cheek, clearly fighting with herself. Then she surprised them both by moving to the foot of the bed. Asher quickly threw back the cover and invited her in.

“What are you comfortable with?” Isaiah asked, sliding up to her side.

She shrugged, clearly not knowing how to position herself between them.

Isaiah took the lead and Asher was more than happy to follow. “If you need space, we can stop.”

She nodded, still worrying her bottom lip.

“How about you cuddle up to Ash? I heard he’s the one to go to for that.”

The corner of her lips twitched up as she laid her head on Asher’s shoulder, draping an arm over his stomach. Isaiah tucked close to her back, dropping a kiss on her shoulder.

“I’m sorry I lost my patience with you. I shouldn’t have and there is no excuse.”

Vel stayed silent as she wiggled to get comfortable. Isaiah laid on his back and had his hand on her waist while she stretched her feet to touch Isaiah’s leg. Just when Asher was about to doze off again, Vel’s soft whisper woke him up.

“I liked it.” It was clearly an admission she hated. “But it felt wrong. As if I was rewarding you for what you did to me.”

Isaiah shifted to his side and pressed more kisses to her shoulder. “I’m not going to lie and say it doesn’t feel good to be with you. We want to make up for our mistakes. This is us trying to redeem ourselves. We’re no longer the boys you ran from.”

“I can see that, but sometimes I walk through this house and still feel like that broken girl from three years ago.”

“You can always come to us when you feel that way. We are here to listen, even if you don’t want us to say anything in response.”

Isaiah had clearly found his calmness again and for that, Asher was grateful. He was better with words, able to convey what they were both thinking.

“Vel, it’s not our intention to hurt you. We know this is hard for you. But we want to be the ones to heal you from the pain you endured by our hands—or our mouths.”

In response, she nestled closer to Asher, reaching back for Isaiah to join them.
