“I think you’ll find this more than adequate,” he said as Tommy practically drooled over the jewels in the case.

Tommy waved over another man, a new guy, rail-thin with a haughty look. This one put in one of those gem-appraising eyepieces and surveyed what was in the case. Donny had told them the exchange would be in gems and to bring their own way of verifying the value.

The tall, thin man nodded. “These are all real. I’d estimate their value at somewhere between three hundred, and four hundred million.”

“I think you’ll agree that should be more than adequate interest,” Donny said.

Tommy nodded. “And what if I wished to reinvest some of this?” he asked, his face becoming a mirror to Mammon’s from yesterday: greedy as hell.

“Then you’ll do it with someone else. I’m done with you after this, agreed?”

“Oh, of course, Donny-boy, of course,” Tommy chuckled, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

Swell. Donny had done such a good job, the gangster wanted to keep him.

He closed the case and took it from Donny, flashing him a wicked grin. “A pleasure doing business with you.”

He turned to go, but Grey stepped forward and put a large hand on Tommy’s shoulder.

The guards bristled, reaching for weapons and Tommy spun, his expression dangerous, his voice low. “Take your hand off me.”

But Grey wasn’t intimidated by the man who barely came up to his shoulder. He loomed over Tommy and glared down at him.

“Just wanted to make it clear that you’re never to come anywhere near Donny and his family ever again. And just in case you need a bit more incentive.” He raised a hand, one finger out, then tipped it forward.

Several cracks, in rapid sequence, rang out from behind us, making me jump. They pinged into the metal of Tommy’s car door, and we all looked to see a happy face of bullet holes.

“Do we understand each other?” Grey growled.

“Ah… yeah, I wasn’t intending to, and who the fuck are you anyway, buddy?”

“Just a messenger.”

Tommy looked at Donny, who shrugged, then hurried away. But since I was just a bit pissed at all the trouble and anxiety they’d caused me, I sent a heavy gust of lust their way. Tommy and his men would have averyuncomfortable ride home.

And that was it.

We were free.

I was practically giddy as their car sped away and Ramsey sauntered back to us with his rifle case in hand.

“Nice work,” Fen complimented him.

“Don’t make his ego any bigger than it already is,” Grey warned.

“Thank you,” Donny said, shaking each of their hands before getting back into the car. There was only room for four in the back, so he was sitting up front with the driver.

I smiled at my three guys.My guys! All mine!my horny self asserted.

“I’d like to thank you in a different way,” I said my voice husky. “Later.”

Except I didn’t realize the consequences of those words until we got home and all three guys came in, and began glaring at each other, no one willing to leave.

“I have something for you, for your trouble,” Donny said as he went to a drawer in the front room. He took out a small pouch and brought it to the guys. Opening it, he reached inside and handed the guys severallargediamonds each.

“I thought we returned all the extra gems?” Fen asked.

Donny laughed. “We did. We just didn’t give all of them to Tommy. He’ll never miss them. He got more than he was expecting. And this allows me to thank you for all your trouble.”
