Page 97 of His Obsession

My moans of pleasure mixed with his grunts of need and flashes of Titanic shot through my mind with the fogged windows and a single hand-print disrupting the haze.

Alek wasn’t Jack, though. Jack allowed Chance to fall into his lap and never took it by the horns, making it his bitch. Alek wouldn’t allow luck to rule his life, he had things methodically planned, and when those plans went to shit, he planned how to get out of it. He didn’tshoot from the hip, so to speak. Reality seemed to be all too clear from here. I loved Alek.

A new fervency came over me. I moved in rhythm with him. He wrapped his arms tight around my waist, holding me in place while he pumped in and out with an urgency I could feel. Alek came inside me with a roar, his face buried between my breasts and groaning.

“I didn’t want to fall in love with you, Alek, but I couldn’t stop myself. You are inevitable,” I confessed with my lips dusting to his neck.

“Say it again,” he said, keeping his grip tight.

I knew I meant it. I had been battling myself in a game of tug of war. I cupped his face and peppered kisses over his lips and cheeks. “I’m fairly certain…” I paused at his lips, mulling it over some more. “No… I’m utterly positive that I love you.”

He smashed his lips into me, devouring me whole with a new hunger. Our night had morphed from a first official date to confessions of love, and I didn’t know where we would go from here. It was not where I saw this night taking us, but I wouldn’t complain that it did.

Flashes of light lit the darkened car, and theboomthat followed rattled the windows—the nirvana surrounding us now broken.

I pressed one more kiss to his lips and opened his door, spilling out to the dirt below. The sharp bite of rocks bit into my elbow, and I laughed as I took in my current state. My leg became stuck under the steering wheel, the other under the car, my bare pussy wide open for his viewing pleasure, and he took notice.

If I hadn’t just climbed from his lap after a spectacular round of sex, I would have been mortified.

The sky let out a thunderous groan, and the clouds opened up, releasing its heavy burden. The torrential downpour soaked my dress and flattened my hair, muddying the ground beneath me. Alek unhooked my heel from the steering wheel, and my ass hit the mud with a wet splat. I didn’t move, I couldn’t speak. I put my face to the sky and enjoyed the billions of droplets rushing to the earth. Alek tucked himself back into his pants and put one foot on each side of me while stepping out of the car. His gaze was a smoldering inferno of desire.

The water poured from the strands of hair hanging on his forehead as he bent over and helped me stand from my newly made wallow. I put both feet back on the ground, and the slam of the car door shook me. I tipped on my toes, crushed my lips to his, and pushed him against the car. His body jarred from the impact, and our teeth clashed, biting into my lips.

Alek grabbed handfuls of my ass and pulled me up to his body, moving us to the hood of the car. I wrapped my soaked legs around his waist and rotated my hips against his. The hood was slippery, but he held me firm, and I wasn’t going anywhere. I could feel the stiffening of his cock as a forked lightning bolt snapped across the sky, illuminating his water-logged features. The clap of thunder hit seconds later, and my hair stood on end.

“We are going to die if we stay out here.” The crack of my voice letting him know fear was trying to command my body.

His fingers combed through his dripping hair, pulling the stream from his face. Alek stood, releasing me from the hood of the car. I tugged at the bottom of my dress and pulled it the rest of the way down my body.

“At least if I die tonight, I’d die happy. I haven’t been able to say that in all of my years.” He lowered his eyes down my now bare body.

“I just admitted to loving you, and now you are okay with dying?” I teased him, feigning offense.

“I’d never beokaywith anything if it meant I’d not be with you one more day.” His declaration weakened my knees, and my cheeks flushed, flutters deep in my belly took flight.

Alek scooped me into his arms, running his lips down the hollow of my throat. “Say it again, tell me you love me.” The rumbling of thunder sounded in the close distance.

“I love you.”

“Again.” His lips touching the sensitive skin behind my ear.

“I love you, Alek Jackson, more than anything.”

Two years later

His hands were covering my eyes, and I couldn’t see. “Step forward,” he said into my ear.

Alek told me we had to go somewhere quick. I thought it was to the store, but when we got close, he told me I needed to close my eyes and no peeking. Once we had pulled up to wherever it was that we were going, I had to sit in the car and wait for him to help me get out. Which mind you at, almost nine months pregnant isn’t easy. I felt like I was going to explode at any minute. “Almost there.”

“This place better have a bathroom because I’m going to pee myself if this baby keeps trying to escape with karate.” A small chuckle sounded behind me, and we stepped further from the car.

He pulled his hands gently from my eyes. “Okay, you can open them.”

I blinked my eyes, adjusting to the bright spring sun, and caught a full image of a two-story home with a three-car garage. I whipped my head around and stared into his blue eyes.

“Alek, what is this?” I had a feeling I knew what he was going to say, but I didn’t want to assume. I did that one time when we were on a dinner date thinking he was going to propose that night, and it turned out I got excited for a pair of car keys. Don’t get me wrong, I loved the car, and I was grateful for it, but I loved him with all my heart, and I wanted to marry him. He was dragging his feet then. When he did finally propose, I didn’t see it coming. Just like this.

“It’s our new home,” he said, wrapping his arms around my waist and rubbing my swollen belly. I took a minute to accept that I was correct and that this was, in fact, our new home. I loved it.
