Page 105 of His Secret

At almost fiveo’clock on Friday, I make my way to Matías’s office.

“Come in,” he says after I give the door a couple quick knocks.

He barely glances up, then notices it’s me and looks again, giving me a smile. “Hey.”

“Hi. Can I come in?”

“Sure.”

I close the door behind me and linger next to it. “So, Saturday.”

His head inclines back as he realizes what I’m here to talk about. “Saturday.”

“It’ll be a barbecue. I invited Diane and Greg from across the street and two houses down, and Martin who's right on the other side of me. And Carl and Leslie.”

“I recognize maybe two of those names.”

I laugh. “Well, you should get to know your neighbors more.”

“I’m friendly when I see them, but I don’t go out of my way to strike up conversations.”

“Well, anyway, it’s a little neighborhood barbecue, and it starts at four.”

“Why are you so far away?” he asks, changing the subject.

“Oh.” I step forward. “Just trying to keep things professional.”

He smirks. “Like on our work trip?”

“Yes. I was very professional.”

He pushes away from his desk, the chair rolling back enough to reveal his thighs. “It’s been too long since I’ve seen you come.”

My body instantly heats up. “A week does feel like forever in this instance,” I agree.

“I’m afraid I’m already forgetting what you taste like.”

I swallow, getting turned on where I probably shouldn’t.

“Which part of me?”

Matías gives me a wicked grin before crooking his fingers, gesturing me over.

I’m next to him in a handful of strides. He sits up and starts undoing the belt on my pants.

“Wh-what are you doing?” I ask, nerves and excitement swirling in my gut.

“Don’t worry about that. What should I bring to the barbecue?”

He unbuttons and unzips my pants, tugging them down.

“Uhh.” I glance at the door, then back at him. “I don’t know. Matías, this is?—”

He grabs my hips and positions me in front of his desk, facing the door. Thank god the blinds on his window are closed.

Behind me, he pulls my boxers down.

“Should I bring chips? Drinks?” he asks.
