“It’s real, there were a lot of witnesses who are curious as us to know what is going to happen now,” Jake said coming over to sit down next to me.

“We agreed on deciding when I get back,” It wasn’t the best solution, but it was the only one I could think of at that moment.

“You are giving her space and respecting her wishes,” Jared noted.

I nodded.

“What about you, man?” Jake asked shaking his head as if he didn’t like this idea.

“I got to believe that she will come to terms and want to be with me. She…” I smiled when I was unable to wipe the image from my mind when she was the one who reached out and kissed me.

“She made it clear to me that she is confused, but she knows she has feelings for me.” It was all it took to give me hope for us.

“She said it?” Jared asked.

“Yeah,” I drawled smiling.

“It’s the best thing feeling in the world. It felt like she confessed her love to me.”

I trust Sasha to wait for me because that’s who she is. She is capable of anything and doesn’t get distracted by things in her life she doesn’t want.

It will be difficult for her to come out of her shell completely, but she’ll get there. We are already a step closer.

“You should probably clean up before the bus arrives,” Jake announced throwing a towel my way before getting up.

“What’s wrong?” I asked recognizing the crack in his voice.

“Macey called me last night while I was with Daphne and uhm… I messed things up with Daphne. She’s a great, intelligent girl who speaks her mind but now I don’t know if I am standing a chance with her.”

He looked devastated and I always warned him about Macey screwing up his life.

“What did Macey do?” Jared questioned.

“She wanted to come over and have sex, and Daphne overheard. I tried to explain, but only made it worst when I told her it’s my ex-girlfriend who cheated on me.”

Both Jared and I cringed.

“Yeah…” He exhaled.

“The first girl in years who got this heart going again and I screw it up just like that.”

I gazed at Jared when Jake left the room.

“Hey, don’t look at me. I don’t have lady problems.” He said all smug.

“Yeah—yeah, we know you are screwing around with Megan,” I said standing up to go take a shower when the door opened and I expected it to be Jake, but it was Ashley.

“What are you doing here?” Jared almost growled at her.

“Not for you,” Her attitude disgusted me.

Her eyes found my narrowed ones and I saw shame flickering in her eyes.

“Can we talk?” She asked.

I shook my head. “We have nothing left to talk about,”

I went to take a shower locking the door behind me.
