Megan rolled her eyes. “You always bragged about it—I am pretty sure even Sasha will remember it.”
I chuckled and nodded my head. Laughing louder when Briana let out a string of curse words.
“Why haven’t you joined college?” Nicole asked when everyone settled down.
“I honestly don’t know what else I am good at except hockey. I am not good with numbers, science, biology, or literature. I was born to run, feel the adrenaline pumping through my veins and the loud beat of my heart drumming in my ears.” I explained, knowing that hockey is a big part of me and it will always be with or without my mother.
I could never imagine myself as anything else besides an athlete.
“I think I feel the same way when I think about it. Nothing else compares to that feeling.” Briana remarked with a knowing look on her face.
“Not even wild and hot steamy sex?” Nicole asked wiggling her eyebrows.
“Find me a man who can do it like movie stars. They make it look so effortless, smooth, and inciteful. In reality, it is not as wonderful as they portray it to be.” Briana grumbled and Nicole just laughed it off.
I wouldn’t even know how it feels like to like somebody or have a crush on them.
“It’s supposed to be intense, get your heart rate up, and makes you reach for the clouds as your soul descents filling your body with warmth and satisfaction,” Megan explained, with quite a dramatic voice and I felt like hitting my head against the window.
“Did you order a male stripper with that kind of experience when you needed someone to satisfy your needs because I can’t ever remember you having a boyfriend?” Briana asked.
“There is something called flings and it’s more fun than being in a boring relationship with just one guy.” Megan expressed.
“Oh, good lord,” Briana mumbled with an eye roll.
I just kept looking out the window not wanting to be a part of this conversation. I truly never realized how desireful girls can be and I felt as if there was something wrong with me because I expressed none of the emotions which they were talking about.
I haven’t desired to love somebody on those kinds of terms.
“I always wanted to be swooped off my feet by a prince when I was a child, not realizing it was a trap until I went to junior high,” Nicole explained.
“What happened in junior high?” Megan questioned.
“Lost my virginity to a jock who barfed when he saw me naked.” Megan’s car was filled with laughter and even I was laughing. I wasn’t sure if he barfed because he was nervous or he just haven’t seen a naked woman before.
“Why though?” Briana wanted to know.
“In his words, he has never seen a slim naked girl before.” I wasn’t the only one frowning.
“I don’t know what that means up until today.” She finished with a shrug.
“So, you still went through it though?” Megan asked, arching an eyebrow that said she wasn’t pleased.
“Not on the same night, no. We met a couple of times and I thought he could be the guy. We had sex and the day after, I found out that I wasn’t the only girl he has been seeing.” Nicole explained.
“Oh, that’s not fun,” Megan remarked with an unpleasant voice.
“What did you do though?” Briana queried.
“Nothing. I let karma do its work.” Now everyone was interested in knowing what happened.
“Come on, don’t let us drag it out of you. What happened?” Megan asked.
“He lost all of his endorsements in varsity because he was caught using steroids and he got two girls pregnant. He is now working at the supermarket packing shelves.”
Megan took a while before she laughed. “Serves him right for betraying our girl.”
“What about you though?” Nicole asked looking at me. She didn’t attend the same schools as me which clearly showed, that she doesn’t know that I have never had a boyfriend before which makes me a virgin.
