He was angry, but there was something else there too.

I was suddenly hot. Turned on. Aroused. I closed my legs to stifle the tingling heat teasing my clit. That wasn’t the only thing tingling, but I refused to acknowledge the hardening of my nipples. Eagle, however, noticed the subtle movement and zeroed right in on them. His jaw clenched as a muscle twitched.

I expected him to jump on me and ravish me like the men did in the books I liked to read. What would I do if he did? I licked my lips and dropped my eyes to the front of his pants. There was definite movement behind his zipper and the bulge was big. More heat gathered in my pussy, and I berated myself for feeling anything except anger and indignation for my situation.

“Stay,” he snapped. And then he turned and left the room.

I heard a key turn into the lock outside and pressed my lips.

I was good and locked in.

Chapter 4

Eagle

Shit! Shit! Shit!

That woman and the way she made me feel was trouble. I had to get a grip and remember that Jillian was the woman I wanted. I needed to stop fucking around and just make my intentions clear to her once in for all. The fact that Leo had gotten me hard so fast meant nothing.

I entered the main room to find that Wolfe hadn’t moved from where he’d been when I’d left. “How’s Brew?”

We made eye contact as I sat down. “Just got an update from Buck. Helmet saved him from a nasty concussion, but he has a broken collarbone, bruised ribs, and some scrapes. Gonna be okay though.”

I shook my head. “Fuck, he’s gonna hurt for a while.”

Wolfe agreed with me. “Yup. Get anywhere with the girl?”

I shook my head, willing the image of those hard, little nipples out of my mind. And the way that Leo had squeezed her thighs? That told me that she was feeling the same shit for me that I was feeling for her.

Totally physical. I glanced around, looking for one of the sweet tarts.

“So what are your plans for her?”

I snorted. “Why don’t you deal with her? You’re the president,” I reminded him.

His lip curled. “Yeah, Brother, but you reminded me that she’s your problem.”

I glared at him while chewing on the inside of my mouth for a second. “You’re just afraid Ella won’t like you having to get handsy with another woman.”

“Like hell! I don’t involve her in club shit.” He hesitated and then smirked. “Much.”

I exhaled loudly and sat back in my chair. “I’ll deal with the little spitfire.”

“Keep it nice and innocent. Let her come out to the party tonight so she thinks of herself as more of an invitee,” Wolfe laughed.

I couldn’t see that working. I’d have to keep an eye on her, because otherwise I wouldn’t put it past her to try and hitch a ride with someone. Jesus, why wouldn’t she just give us the fucking name? He must really be important to her.

“We going to the hospital?”

Wolf shook his head. “No need now. Brew will be home in the morning. Buck is staying with him tonight.”

“He’s gonna need some help.”

“I’m sure we can get one of the sweet tarts to take care of him.”

Speaking of sweet tarts, Jezzie, Hannah, and Ginger had just entered the room dressed to kill and ready for the night. Teased hair, makeup painted on, skintight dresses that barely covered their asses or their tits, and stilettos that drew the eye to their long, killer legs. I’d tapped all of them over the years. Still fucked them on occasion because I wasn’t there with Jillian. Yet.

I looked toward the bar. “I think I need a drink before I deal with Leo.” Fuck, maybe I needed a whole bottle.
