“Jaxon, baby. Time for a nap.” She announces. Grabbing Jaxon, I swim with him over to her and lift him out of the pool.

“Sorry, got carried away in here. Did you have a good nap?” I ask and she nods.

“Yes, I did. We still on for tonight? Who’s on duty?” She asks.

“I think they all are. They both should be back soon.” I say and she nods, taking Jaxon’s vest off and wrapping him in a towel.

“Okay, I know Rio was getting things together for Fight Night on Friday and Jameson went to talk to the contractor about renovating the house.” She laughs.

“Yeah, Ri will probably be back sooner than Jay. You know how he is. If he doesn't get what he wants, you’ll know by the blood on his clothes when he walks in.” I laugh and she shakes her head.

“He can’t just go killing all the contractors. This would make three, on top of the secretary at the office. Did he tell you she made his coffee wrong three times and wasn’t fast enough about it? So he slit her throat right there in the office.” She says and my eyes widen.

“What the fuck? Give that man some blood and a blowjob. Christ.” I say and she covers Jaxon’s ears.

“Reid, language!” She scolds with a smirk. “But yes, I need to figure out something. How is he supposed to get anything done if people tell him no and bam lights out. He needs to settle down, like yesterday.” She says and I nod, completely agreeing with her.

“When was the last time… ya know?” I ask and she sighs.

“When we went out on our date. He’s been so busy with wanting to get the house ready and making it our own, that by the time he’s done, I’m already fast asleep.” She says and I sigh.

“You sleeping shouldn't matter. He’s got that sleeping kink. Have you woken up sore in any holes?” I ask and her eyes widen.

“Every morning. If it's not my kitty, then it's my jaw screaming at me.” She admits and I laugh.

“Well sex ain’t the problem. He’s been taking what he needs while you’re asleep. Might be the blood? Or the stress of wanting to make everything perfect for us. You know how he is when he’s hyper-fixated. He obsesses and forgets about all the things around him.” I reassure her and her eyes narrow.

“All week I thought I was being a mouth breather, but it’s been this mother fucker the whole time. Wait till he comes home.” She says and I tsk her.

“Language, Jade.” I scold and she rolls her eyes at me, picking Jaxon up and heading out. She turns back to me and I can’t help but smile at the sight of her with a baby in her arms.

“Oh, what time do you want me ready?” She asks and I smile wider.

“After the sun sets.” Is all I give her. She nods and leaves the pool house with the little guy. I spin and swim back to Ry who has a wicked grin on his face.

“So what were you saying?” I smile as I sit back against the cold tile. He cages me in, pressing his lips to mine.

“Nothing, just that I talked to Jade about the club and she’s on board with me not wanting to take over as president. She doesn’t want that either. So we won’t announce my departure and we will divy up the streets. With The Aces out of the way, you and Dario are about to come into some power, which means taking over some things that will be useful together as a family.” He says and I tilt my head, looking at him in confusion.

“Explain some more, I’m a little confused at what you’re getting at.” I say.

“Jade will be the only distro for weapons and bullets on the east coast, and soon, all of America. Once other players figure out she is true IRA, things can get dangerous, but they will want her for that connection, taking all the low end dealers out of business. As for drugs, we can work with the Cyprus brothers and change that contract you have with them, making all of us more money then we ever thought of. The club never had a pipeline to trafficking. That’s one thing my father was against. But weapons, drugs and cleaning money is what made us so successful.” He says and I nod, following along.

“I like this. I know me and Ri are waiting for the ball to drop to see what happens with our families businesses. My father wanted me to start taking over immediately, but I was putting that distance between us because I’m not privy to everythinggoing on there. Neither is Ri. So once we are in the fold completely with all the control, we can maneuver things better.” I say and he nods.

“Oh, I know and I’ll wait for you all until I solidify anything with the club, so for now, I’ll play the game to not raise any suspicions. I want to make the mechanics shop more legitimate, and then turn the actual clubhouse into a bar, maybe add more rooms to the back, so when we come across trafficked kids, we have somewhere to keep them safe.” He smiles as my whole face lights up hearing that idea.

“It’s either the Clubhouse or The Warehouse, but it would seem more natural for little kids to be running around the compound than a warehouse where we stash money and our bikes.” I say and he nods.

“Exactly, but for right now, business as usual. We will all sit down and discuss this once everyone is in their proper place. We will be utterly untouchable with all of us together as a family.” He smiles and I nod in agreement.

“Especially with Jaxon and the twins.” I say and he laughs.

“Did you ever think we would be here a couple of months ago?” he asks and I shake my head.

“Absolutely not. If it wasn’t for Jade, I’d probably be dead. My father was ruthless, I’m seriously lucky to be alive.” I admit and his eyes widen.

“Will you tell me your story, one day, when you're ready?” He asks and I nod.
