Sitting back on my knees, I take a few deep breaths and look into his steel gray eyes. “Thank you, Spade, but you don’t really need to see this.” I say, looking away from him, but he cups my face with both hands.
“Look at me Jade, please,” he begs and my eyes collide with his, seeing sadness, relief and worry.
“You really don’t remember me?” He whispers as a lone tear falls from his eye.
“I’m sorry, I don’t, and I’ll understand if you need to move on from me.” I say as my lips quiver with every word spoken.
“Don’t say that. Does it hurt? Yes, baby. It does, but I don’t give up on someone I love. You lost your memories. Now I get to show you how much you mean to me and hopefully one day you will remember and love me back.” He breathes as I lean into his touch, my heart skipping a beat. His warmth feels so familiar, like he’s done this a million times over.
“You really loved me, huh?” I say with a shy smile and he laughs.
“Love, baby. To this day, there’s no doubt about how strong my love is for you.” He smirks and I nod. He lets go of my face and helps me to my feet.
“Will you answer any questions I may have? I really hate this shit. It makes me feel weak and fucking stupid.” I sigh, looking down at the floor, shaking my head at myself, but he places his thumb under my chin, lifting it to look up at him.
“Anything you need, you ask. No hesitation. We’ve missed you. This is going to take some time, but as long as you’re willing to help us help you, then we will be okay.” He assures me, bringing a smile to my face.
“Well, after my shower, I need to know about my dogs. No one answered me down there and everyone just looked heartbroken, so I need the truth.” I say and his eyes widen, but nods.
“Shower first. I’ll be waiting on your bed.” He says as he leans in, brushing his soft lips against my cheek. He turns and exits the bathroom, closing the door behind him.
Taking a deep breath, I turn the water on and grab a towel from the vanity. Stripping my clothes off, I step under the spray letting the warm water cascade over my body to wash the day away. The door creaks open but I don’t have the energy to care who it is. Hearing the cane tap against the tile floor lets me know it’s Dario. My heart begins to race as I wait on bated breath for what is going to happen next.
He opens the door and steps inside, slowly taking in his naked body.Holy fucking shit he’s beautiful, and pierced. Jesus fucking Christ. His tattoos are a masterpiece on his body which makes me wonder who did them all.He clears his throat and our eyes collide as he takes a step closer. It’s him.Seeing the man from my vision with those bicolored eyes has me in a trance and I can’t help but get lost in them.
“I’m sorry for coming in here like this, but I’m impulsive and needed a moment alone with you,” he admits. I should send him away, but that thought alone has my heart dropping. Even though my brain doesn’t know him, my heart seems to yearn for the man standing in front of me.I’m too tired to fight, so for once I’ll follow the thing in my chest beating erratically the closer he gets to me.
“Please don’t look at me like that, because I won’t be able to hold back the monster between my legs from taking what it wants most in this fucked up world.” He warns, wincing with every step he takes.
“Are you okay?” I ask, changing the subject, realizing the traitorous bitch between my thighs is purring from his dirty words.
“I’m fine, better than fine now that you’re home,” he breathes as he cages me against the cold tile wall.
“You all thought I was dead?” I ask, swallowing thickly.
“That’s a story for another day, when we’re all together.” He says as his eyes rake up my naked body causing my nipples to harden.
“Fine, but I need answers just as much as you guys do. I’ll tell you the same thing I told Spade. I will understand if you want to move on due to–” he interrupts, slamming his mouth against mine, as his soft lips beg for entry. I open for him, letting our tongues dance together for dominance. Moaning, I deepen the kiss as my nails gently run up his ribs under his arms and over his shoulder blades, digging them into his flesh.I love the way this man kisses me, gentle, but rough. All-consuming but sensual.A flash of me straddling him in the back of a car hits my vision, then leaves as his mouth trails down my chin to my neck, sucking the sensitive spot under my ear. I push him back for a moment and his brows furrow. I lean up and kiss him gently, causing him to growl.
“Were we ever in the back of a car together? Specifically me straddling you?” I ask, and he grins from ear to ear.
“Yes, Kitten. It was the first time I got to taste you.” He admits, confirming my visions are memories which has me thinking of all the ones I had in Ireland. Before I can say anything, he lifts my chin, confusion written all over his face.
“While we were kissing, a flash hit my vision of me straddling you in the back of a car. I asked because I need to know what they mean and you just confirmed they might just be my memories peeking in.” I say, and he smiles.
“That’s good, Kitten. Have you had more visions?” he asks and I nod.
“Yes, I have, but didn’t know what they meant.” I admit, taking a deep breath. He takes a step back, grabbing the loofa, pouring soap on it.
“May I?” he asks, and I shake my head.
“We better not. My resistance won’t be able to handle your hands on my body.” I admit, and he frowns.
“So you want my hands on you huh, Kitten?” he smirks and I lick my lips.
“I do, and that dirty mouth isn’t helping.” I pant as he runs a finger down my jaw, over my rapidly beating heart and around my breasts, causing goosebumps to litter my skin. His thumb brushes against my nipple and I bite back a moan.
“Maybe you’re right.” He says, dropping his hands to his side, and my jaw flies open, damn near hitting the floor as he turns for the shower door and steps out. I hold my breath until I hear the cane slapping against the tile and the door shutting behind him.
