The screen lights up in black and white and a rapid whooshing sound plays through the speakers.
“Holy shit, is that their heartbeats?” She asks and the doctor nods.
“Sure is, dear. Both are very strong.” She says as I look at the others who are completely fixated on the screen filled with twolittle kidney bean shaped babies. I grab Jade’s hand, squeezing it tight, and she looks up at me.
“We made those little beans in there.” She says as a tear drops down her cheek.
“We sure did, baby.” I reply.
“Do you guys want to know the sex?” The doctor asks, “We won’t be able to see the gender on the screen but your other doctor sent me the blood test results which have that listed.” She says.
“We all in?” Jade asks as we all nod in unison.
“Let’s hear it, Griselda.” Jade says,
“Two healthy identical little girls. You are approximately fourteen weeks pregnant, give or take. With a due date of September 15th. It will be before then though. We like to induce mothers carrying twins towards the end. But we will discuss that at a later date.” She tells us. Dario clears his throat.
“Do you have the DNA results?” He asks and she nods.
“Would you like that result as well?” She replies and Jade nods.
“As long as this doesn’t cause an issue with any of you and us then we can know. But I need you to all understand that no matter who the biological dad is to these little girls, they are both all yours and they will grow up calling you all daddy. Got it?” Jade scolds and we all nod.
“Now that we got that out of the way. Let’s hear it.” Jade orders.
“Baby A and B both match with Dario Roselli.” Griselda announces, and a small ping of disappointment flies into my chest. I pull Ri in for a hug, and so does Jay.
“Congrats, Brother! You knocked our girl up.” I joke, lightening up the mood as he bends down, cupping Jade’s face, kissing her like it’s the last breath he’ll take.
“I love you, Kitten.” He whispers.
“And I love you Big Man.” she giggles.
Taking a deep breath, Jay and I step back to give them a moment. I can’t really be that upset. She’s my wife after all. But those baby girls are going to be the luckiest little ones of them all. I can’t wait to spoil them and teach them to ride. Griselda clears her throat.
“I want to see you back in six weeks to do an anatomy scan to make sure both babies are growing perfectly. Make sure to take your vitamins and let these men pamper you.” She smiles and Jade nods.
“Thanks, Griselda. I will.” Jade says, bidding her goodbye, wiping her belly off and getting dressed.
“So, what shall we do for the rest of the day?” I ask, with a mischievous grin on my face.
“Shopping.” We all say and I laugh, grabbing my wife’s hand and kissing it.
“I’m such a lucky son of a bitch. Now let’s go spoil these girls. Any names yet?” I ask.
“No, not yet. There’s two I love but I’m not sure if you guys will like it.” she says.
“Well, spill it Princess.” Jay says.
“Hazel and Haven Rivers.” She says.
That solidifies it for me. My two baby girls, Hazel and Haven. Fuck. I love them already.
After Shopping for these babies all day, we went a little overboard and decided to renovate the bar and make it into the twins suite. Jay had already started to rip apart the room the moment we got back, but left a few minutes ago to go check on his apartment. Dario took Jade to bed, she was exhausted and I don’t blame her. She’s carrying our little babies in her already small body. While Ri and Jade were picking out cribs, Jay asked if I would go with him in the next few weeks to look at the wedding ring he is having custom made for her. Since I’m married to her, Ri is the father to the babies, Jay wants to at least be the one to give her the ring. I agreed because it’s only fair. My bedroom door creaks open as Ryder walks in, closing it behind him.
“Hey, how was today?” He asks, walking over to me and pressing me against the closet door as his lips close in on mine. I moan into the kiss, missing his smell of motor oil, fresh air and weed.
“It was a long fucking day. Dario is the twins' father. We named them Hazel and Haven. Last but not least, we went shopping and now I’m exhausted.” I sigh.
