“What the fuck, Jameson? How the fuck do we tell her this?” Dario yells, throwing his hands up.

“I don’t know, but I need to think.” I say while I go back into the cabin, filling the small cooler with snow and placing all the injectables inside it. Leaving the cabin, I hear a snowmobile heading up the hill as Spade comes into view.

“Dario, take the other mobile and meet me by the trailers. I'll have Spade drop me and meet you with the truck, then we can get the fuck out of here.” I order and they nod.

Climbing on the back with Spade, he takes us down the hill towards my truck.

“I’ll meet you over on the other side. Has she stirred yet?” I ask, and he shakes his head.

“She better be okay, Jay, or so help me god.” He says, anger and fear in his tone.

“Trust me, she’s fine. Just give her a minute.” I reassure and he nods, taking off towards the other side of the mountain as I hop into my truck. I lean over and brush her hair out of her face, caressing her cheek. A soft moan escapes her lipsand then deep snores echo through the silent truck.

Minutes later, I meet up with the others and get the mobiles in the big trailer.

“Are we sending a clean-up crew for all that up there?” Spade asks, and I shrug.

“It’s already taken care of.” Dario chimes in and I nod a silent ‘thanks’.

“Alright, let’s head home.” I say as we all pile into the truck. After driving for a bit, I’m the first to speak up.

“Any ideas why that fucker Monty would take Jaxon to Amish land?” I say.

“Amish land, as in The Brotherhood?” Dario asks and I nod.

“Exactly.” I laugh.

“He must not know that we are heavily involved with them. I’ll make a call with a heads up that we will be there within the next twenty four hours to pick him up.” Spade says.

“Will it be that easy?” Jade says, surprising the fuck out of all of us.

“Christ, well hello to you too. You good, Princess?” I ask, and she nods.

“Yes, I’m fine. Tired, but I’m okay.” She reassures me.

“Let’s get you home, then I’ll go get the kid,” I say and she nods before she grabs my hand.

“You bring him home. You hear me? I don’t care what you have to do. Bring him home.” She ordersand I smile at her.

“Whatever you want, Princess.” I say, kissing her hand.

Dealing with The Brotherhood will come with a price, but I don’t care. Jaxon will be a part of our family. No matter what it takes.

Arriving home completely exhausted, I let the guys figure out the game plan to get Jaxon. Which means tomorrow we will need to get a bedroom set up for him. I’m really starting to think I need a bigger house, but there’s plenty of room here to just renovate. Between me and the guys, we have enough money to do it, especially with the size of the property this house sits on.

Climbing the steps to my room, I unbuckle all my holsters and start stripping from my clothes. Once again, I feel suffocated in all this gear. Finally making it to my room, I go straight for the bathroom and turn on the shower.

It doesn’t take me long to do my thing and then I’m drying off and pushing my legs through leggings when my door bursts open.

“Spade. What’s wrong?” I ask as he approaches slowly.

“I need a favor and you’re the only person who can help,” he says.
