“I happen to love your ass.” He replies as he smacks said ass. Rolling over and getting out of bed I glare daggers at him.

“I hope you’ve come to realize I’m not a morning person. Second, that stung.” I laugh while trying to rub the sting away.

“Get ready, I’ll be downstairs. Luis and Reyes left already. They had to go by Sirens first.” He states, walking out of the room.

Walking to the bathroom, I start getting ready and freeze when I realize it’s that time of the month. This is why I hate being a woman sometimes.Deciding to take a quick shower, I turn the water on and hop in before it’s even hot. I quickly wash my body and rinse off.

Stepping out, I reach for the towel and dry off, tying it in place. Brushing through my hair, I decide to just throw it in a messy bun and call it good, forgoing all makeup. Plugging myself up, I walk to the closet and find some dark colored leggings and pull them on. Finding my purple crop top, I pull it over my head then slide my combat boots on.

Heading into the kitchen, Damien looks over his shoulder. Turning to me, he brings me my coffee. I take a long sip and sit it on the counter while I strap my daggers to my waist and thigh.

“Did I make it right?” He questions. Just nodding in return, I down the rest and walk over to set my mug in the sink, ready to start the day.

“We taking the bikes or my car?” I state having zero emotion in my tone. Lord help them, they are fixing to get the bitchiest side of me yet.

Quirking a brow up at me he replies, “Hmm, we can take your car.” Grabbing my duffle bag and walking towards the kitchen door, we walk out and head to my car. Throwing my bag in the trunk of my car before getting in. Once we’re both in, we pull out and he drives us towards Orpheus. Another day, another asshole to find.

Chapter twenty-two

Damien

The whole drive to Orpheus, and even during training, Raven seemed off. I’m not sure what’s going on, but God, that woman's attitude is laid on extra thick today. We’re all standing around chit chatting when Reyes gives me a look that I can't decipher.

“Baby Girl, is something bothering you today?” He questions, and the way her head whips to him with the look of murder written across it, has me holding in my chuckle.

“Don’t worry guys, she probably just started her period today.” Naomi informs us, making Raven roll her eyes.

“Is nothing private anymore? Jesus fucking Christ, Naomi.” She tosses back. Me and my brothers all share a look while she walks off, going to grab her bag. Watching her pull her phone out, her back straightens and she looks around the gym. Apparently, I wasn’t the only one watching her because Luis walks up to her not even a second later. Not being able to hear their conversation, I watch and wait. Walking back over to us, his face is full of concern, and his eyes look to be full of anger.

“She just got another text. Whoever this person is, he’s definitely watching her more than we thought. This text said ‘lose your new boyfriends or I’ll get rid of them for you’.”

“What the fuck?! Okay, we seriously need to find this person and end this shit. I knew I should have beat that guy's ass at Sinful that night.” I spit out. Fuck this, I am over this person playing games with her. I should have walked back in that night after checking on her and killed him. He’s suspect number one for me.

Eddie storms in from his office with Naomi in tow, apparently she went straight to him. Luis is typing away on his phone, updating Zeke I’m sure. Me and Reyes take off walking towards Raven. Naomi and Eddie doing the same.

“You okay, Angel?” I ask, rubbing my hands up her back. She seems to relax into my touch.

“Yeah. I just need to find this motherfucker! I didn’t come this far to keep having to look over my shoulder.” She replies, aggravation laced in her tone. She makes a groaning noise before grabbing the sides of her stomach and bending forward.

“I’m going to run to Sirens. Me and Zeke are going to see if we can do some extra digging.” Eddie informs.

“I’m going to go with him, see if there’s anything I can help with. Or see if I can recognize the prick. First off, how does he know both of our names? Secondly, he’s watching you close enough to know the guys are around. A lot.” Naomi chimes in, seeming just as irritated as the rest of us. Raven just shrugs.

“I don’t know any of those answers. If it’s the same guy from the club, which I feel like it is, he didn’t look familiar at all. So, I’m feeling this goes deeper than that, I just haven’t put all the pieces together yet.” She says, a sense of defeat flashing in her eyes. Eddie and Naomi head out the door leaving the four of us here. Turning towards us, she huffs out an irritated breath.

“Can one of you take me home, please? I feel like I’m being stabbed in my fucking vagina, and it’s making me want to stab someone.” She huffs out as she grabs her bag, slinging it over her shoulder.

“Yeah, I’ll take you home Angel,” I reply back quickly, sensing her pain. Grabbing the bag from her, I throw it over my shoulder and reach for her hand, heading towards the door. She grabs it and squeezes, signaling to get out of here. Once we’re outside, I release her hand as Reyes opens her door and Luis walks with me to the trunk.

“I’ll stop by the store on our way back and get her a few things. Just find her heating pad when you get back. If she doesn’t have one, let me know and I’ll pick that up too. Guess we’re about to see a whole other side of her.” He says in a hushed tone as he chuckles. Reyes shuts her door and walks around the back with us.

“She’s in and ready to go. Make sure to set the code when you get there. We need to be more alert, especially since whoever it is, knows we're around. I’m not taking any chances when it comes to her.” He states, as if we’re not all thinking the same thing right now.

“Yeah, yeah. You act like I would let something happen to her. Fucking wrong. I’d give my life before I let anything happen to her.” I state matter-of-factly, slamming the trunk shut. Rounding the car and getting in, Raven looks over at me.

“Are you okay, Casanova?” She asks with concern in her tone. Looking over, she has a grin on her face and I swear when she smiles, it’s like everything else going on just fades away.

“Yeah, let's get you home.” Grabbing her hand, I bring it to my lips and place a kiss on it, holding it while we take off towards the house.
