“Thanks kiddo, see you in a bit. Be safe.”

“I’m always safe.” I respond, smiling as I hang up.

I head towards the club that me and Naomi frequent. This is our go to spot when we need a girls night. Plus, it has a connected sex club called Sinful we go to when we’re feeling extra adventurous. You need a VIP membership to get in, so not many people know about it.Rules and confidentiality, all that.

Pulling up to the back of the club, I get out and walk to the door. As I walk in, the guard nods at me and I give him a two-finger salute as I keep towards the office. Opening the door, Zeke greets me with a half ass smile.

“Ahh Raven, Eddie told me you’d be coming by.” He announces, scooting away from his desk.

“Yes sir, told him I’d come pick up the drop since I don’t have much else going on today.”

He reaches under the desk, pulls out a duffle bag and hands it to me. Zeke is basically my other boss. Him and Eddie work hand in hand.

Zeke is tall, slimmer than Eddie, but still all muscle. He doesn't have anywhere near the number of tattoos, and he’s got these bright blue eyes with green specks in them. They stand out so much against his bronze colored skin. He’s always dressed in a full suit. I internally chuckle. At least one of us always looks professional.

“Here kid, and thanks, saves me from having to do it.” He grins. He’s not lazy by any means, but he’d rather not make runs.

“No problem, I’ll get this straight to the gym. I’m sure I’ll be seeing you again soon, I need a girls' night out.” Giving him a wink as I walk towards the door.

He laughs, “I’m sure you will. Catch ya later, kid.” I hear him say as I’m walking out the door.

Back at my car, I drop the duffle in the trunk, putting it where the spare tire compartment is. I don’t actually keep a spare onme for this reason. Never know when I’ll have to run drops back and forth. They may have some of the cops in their pockets, but not enough for me to want to take that chance. Rounding the car, I hop in, start it and shoot Eddie a quick text.

Me: Got it, headed your way. See you in a bit.

Eddie: Thanks again kiddo, see you in a few.

Putting my car in gear, I turn on music and put my phone away before driving off. I’m in no rush to get back, so I just enjoy the drive. By the time I reach the gym, I've lost track of time.Getting lost in your thoughts while listening to ‘NF’ will do that.Grabbing the duffle out of the trunk, I walk to the office. I notice that Naomi isn’t here, but Eddie is, so I head straight for him and set the duffle down on the desk.

“Here ya go. I got a few errands to run before Naomi comes over tonight, but if you need me, just holler.” I inform, as I turn around to head back out.

“Thanks again Raven, I hope you girls have fun tonight. Y’all are due for a break.” With my hand on the door handle, I turn back to him.

“Yeah, work and coffee dates before work are about the only times we actually get to see each other. I’m not complaining though, we love it. I’ll catch you later.” I say with a shrug, walking out the door and back to my car.

Two hours later, I’m pulling up to the gates at my house on the outskirts of town after stopping to pick up the pizzas and margs for tonight's festivities. I enter the code, and once they open, I drive through.

My house sits back off the road. It’s a gothic, modern farmhouse, with high peaks and black-trimmed windows, with a matching two-car garage. I press the remote on my visor and the door rises. I pull in, turning my car off and grab the bags and pizzas from the trunk, before walking inside. Thankfully the garage door connects to my kitchen, so I can just drop all the items on my island. The living room is through the left entryway of my kitchen and the dining room is through the right. Not that I sit there often.

All the rooms are decorated in dark tones with purple accents, and have a grayish-white marble flooring.Black and purple are my go-to colors.I put the pizza in the oven to stay warm before putting the alcohol away in the cabinet until Naomi gets here. My phone pings. Pulling it from my back pocket, I see it’s a text from Naomi.

Naomi: Hey! I’ll be there in ten minutes give or take.

Me: Okay I just got home. Doors unlocked. I’m going to change out of these clothes.

Setting my phone on the counter, I run upstairs to change into some sweats and a tank. Walking in the bathroom, I toss my clothes in the hamper and wash the makeup off my face. By the time I get down stairs, I hear Naomi closing the front door.

“Hey bitch, it’s just me.” She yells as she walks towards the kitchen.

“I see that.” I quip back, following behind her. She jumps and whips around.

“I didn’t even hear you on the stairs, or I wouldn’t have yelled.” She laughs.

“Guess I can be silent when I want to be.” I joke, giving her a wink. “I’ll put some pizza on plates if you wanna start making drinks. I put all the liquor in the cabinet, you know where the other shit is.” Walking back to the kitchen, I grab a couple plates from the cabinet and put some slices of pepperoni on each one for us.“I’ll do that, making the drinks is my favorite part anyway. So how was your day?” She asks while grabbing the liquor and blender from the cabinet.

“Fine. The guy at the bike shop though, girl, he was fine as hell. Then I got a money drop for Eddie and brought it back. That’s pretty much it.” I say as she digs through the fridge for whatever else she needs.

“He mentioned you came by while I was out. I know we’re not just skipping over the best part of your day. So tell me about the guy at the auto shop.” She quirks a brow at me but holds a finger up as she starts the blender.
