“Same,” I admitted as I peered into those gorgeous blue eyes that I loved so much.

Our mouths met at a frenzied pace, a hurried kiss like we couldn’t get enough of each other. He laid me flat on the floor as his body covered mine, and he tilted his head to a deeper angle to worship my mouth.

I moaned into him—his heady scent intoxicated my senses as I got lost in him once more.

We removed our clothes like we had an Olympic medal to win. It came off in seconds.

He pushed into me in one hard thrust.

Jay locked his gaze on mine as he pulled both of my legs onto his shoulder and gripped my hips hard. He groaned as I clutched him deep inside me. He bucked into me with such force that I screamed in pleasure. And he continued his deep, unrelenting pace that made me tremble under him.

I shattered all over him. He grunted my name as he finished inside me.

I panted hard when we came up for air. I was already drifting off to sleep when I murmured that make-up sex was so good.

He laughed as he carried me up to my room and tucked me into his arms.

“Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Red Rock Hall!” Jay screamed into the microphone, and the crowd roared back.

It was Friday night, and the guys were headlining the festival. I still couldn’t believe it had almost been more than a year since the first time I came here. The guys had improved so much—not that they weren’t great already, but now they were outstanding. They had a lot more songs lined up, and their sound had only gotten so much better.

“Welcome! We are The Four Foxes!”

The crowds were something else tonight. It looked like the guys had a bigger fan base now. A red bra landed on Jay’s feet. I sighed, knowing those relentless girls wouldn’t leave him alone.

Katy has launched a social media page for the band and each of the guys. They posted everything they did, although not any private photos. I wanted to strangle the girls who commented under Jay’s picture like he was an object of their greatest desire. He was the object of my desire and mine alone—I wanted to scream.

Mikey was the only one who loved all the attention. Poor Lily, I thought to myself.

But the girls in real life have also been determined to win his attention, but he only had eyes for me.

Katy had been securing them so many gigs that they were almost never here during the weekends. I tagged along for a fewbecause I missed him, but I couldn’t attend them all. They also had societal obligations now to attend parties and gatherings, which I hated because the girls there were the worst. Even when I was there, they didn’t care—they just walked up to him and put their hands all over my boy. Then he had to politely decline their advances, which only made them whine, which made me want to kill them.

Jay called me adorable when I got jealous, but I hated that feeling. I knew he would never look at another girl, but their blatant display of attention disgusted me. When a man said no, leave him alone.

“We got Matt on the drums.” Matt did a little drum sequence. “We have Lan on the keys,” Jay pointed out to him. Lan played the melody of one of their songs and waved.

“We have Mike on the bass.” Mikey didn’t have to be told twice. He swaggered to the front of the stage and thrust his hips as he played his famous solo that everyone loved. The crowds screamed his name.

And then Jay pointed to himself and said, “I am J.J. Are you ready to have the greatest night of your life?” He grinned at the crowd who ate it up because they went wilder than they did for the rest of them.

It looked like he stole all the spotlight. In my eyes, he was already a star.

His velvety voice opened up the set, and the crowd seemed to love him as they sang along to every word.

Everything was going great until the encore when Jay and Mikey did their little solo. They put on a show as they literally rocked so hard with their instruments that the fretboard of Jay’s precious red guitar snapped into two. A buzz cut through the air as the strings went everywhere.

My eyes widened as it happened. Mikey looked stunned for a second, but he continued on with the show.

Jay had the slightest tremor, his knuckles clenching hard. He only flickered for a second before he masked his reaction, went back to his performance mode, and returned to the microphone.

My heart dropped heavy because I knew it wasn’t fine at all. He loved that guitar. The legacy that his uncle left behind for him.

“Oh no. It’s his favorite guitar,” Katy whispered, and Lily nodded as she stood there in shock at what had happened.

The rest of the show was not that great, not in terms of the performance but for the fact that I was sick with worry.
