“Goodnight, angel.” I go to bed feeling like I’m living the dream…
Chapter 31
Alex
IwakeupinKohen’s new room. My head is pounding. I’m guessing he hasn’t had the chance to get blackout curtains because it is bright as fuck in here. I pull the thick blanket over my head to find Kohen already under here. “You could have warned me,’ I grumble.
“Sorry, baby, I forgot you are used to me living in darkness like a vampire.”
I slap his arm. “You ass.”
He laughs and I climb on top of him. “You want more?”
“No, I just want to love you,” I lie.
“Sure, angel,” he says, grinding his morning wood into me.
“I’m serious.” My phone rings, interrupting me. I see Cora’s name flashing across the screen. “Our best friend is FaceTiming me.” I slide it open. “Hello.”
“Alex, hi!”
“Hi, Cora, what’s up?”
“I was just calling to let you know Levi and I were grocery shopping and…”
I cut her off, wriggling my eyebrows. “Ohhh, Levi and I.”
“Hush,” she says, looking over her shoulder, embarrassed.
“Wait! It’s seven am. Y’all really are meant for each other, all sunshine and rainbows this early.”
She rolls her eyes. A slight smile lifts at the corner of her lips. “Anyway, you hussy, yes we grabbed some groceries for the week. We’ve already been to several stores and we thought we could stay there with y’all in my room. I mean, he can have his own room but you know what I mean.”
My eyebrows shoot up, eyes wide. “Cora!”
Her eyes flood with guilt and she can’t keep eye contact with me.
“Did you sleep with him?”
“She slept with him?” Kohen yells.
“Oh my gosh!” she exclaims, her cheeks flushed. Climbing off of Kohen, I rush to the restroom.
“Anyway, I got to go but we’re coming,” she says.
“Sounds like you already did!” Kohen shouts from the bed and I can’t help but bust out in a fit of laughter. The phone beeps, alerting me that she hung up, so I make my way back to the bed.
“I know they fucked,” I tell Kohen.
“I hope not, she’s pregnant. They need to take it slow.”
I’m rolling my eyes now. “Kohen, stop. We moved so fucking fast that everyone we know got whiplash.”
“Yeah, but that’s us. Cora is different- she is fragile.”
I giggle. “Besides, she’s already pregnant, so at least we don’t have to worry about that.”
He throws the blanket off him and heads to his walk-in closet, if you can even call it that. It’s the size of a room by itself. “Why do you need such big closets?”
