Page 68 of Unwrapping Ember
“Ember, are you suggesting we 69 while Ev drives?”
“I’m not suggesting it, Koda. We’re doing it.”
Lowering my head, I envelop him in my mouth, drawing him in as I feel his warm breath caressing my pussy, his tongue eagerly lapping up my arousal, the tip flicking my clit. His hands grip my ass, holding me aloft, his fingers sinking into my flesh. He pulls me down, guiding my pussy over his nose and mouth. Instinctively, I rock against him while still pleasuring him, my tongue swirling eagerly around his shaft.
The car's motion adds an electrifying intensity, enveloping us in gasps and moans, lost in the moment as our bodies move in perfect harmony. The outside world fades away; all that remains is the insatiable desire to please and be pleased as the car hurtles down the highway.
Eventually, we pull up to our parents’ house, the lingering scent of our shared pleasure filling the car, our cheeks flushed with excitement. Baine and Everest exit the front seat, lighting cigarettes as they wait for us to gather ourselves.
“Are you sure you’re okay with being here?” I ask Koda, whose expression is that of someone who’s just seen a ghost as he gazes at the house laden with so many memories, both bitter and sweet.
“You’re here, so I’ll be fine.”
“We don’t have to stay. I can just say hi to my mom and your dad, and then we can leave.”
“No, we’ll stay,” he reassures me, stepping out of the car and pulling me with him.
I snag a cigarette from Everest and take a few drags as we walk toward the stairs.
“It’s been a while since we’ve been here. What was it, after high school?” Baine asks, taking in the familiar scenery.
“Right before I got locked up. I fucking hate it here,” Koda mutters, nerves tainting his voice.
As we approach the door, it swings open before I can knock, and my mother’s radiant smile greetsme.
“Honey, I’m so happy you could make it!” She enfolds me in a warm hug, but I refuse to let go of Koda’s hand, a gesture she quickly takes note of.
“Koda, it’s wonderful to see you too. I’m sure your father will be thrilled.”
“Thanks for letting us come.”
Her eyes lower, avoiding an apology, but her surprise grows evident as she registers our intertwined hands. “What’s this all about?”
We step inside, the inviting aroma of vanilla and gingerbread wrapping around us, reminiscent of Koda’s home.
“It’s nothing, Mom. Koda and I have gotten… closer over the past week. I guess being stuck together will do that.”
“Stuck?” My mother’s head tilts in confusion. “What do you mean?”
“The blizzard, Mom. I couldn’t leave because the roads were terrible.”
She rolls her eyes, snatches two flutes of champagne from a passing server, and thrusts one into my hand. “Drink up and enjoy the party.”
As we enter the living room, Koda’s dad, in his favorite chair, widens his eyes upon seeing us holding hands. “Well, well, well. Look who decided to finally show up,” he quips, a hint of sarcasm coloring his words.
“I believe I was banned for something I didn’t even do,” Koda retorts, squeezing my hand tighter, anxiety radiating off him.
We exchange apprehensive glances, but my mom interjects, “Enough of that, Kyle. Let’s enjoy having them here.” She shoots us a look, silently urging us to overlook our dad’s comment.
“About that, we should talk before you run off for the night.”
“If it’s an apology, then sure. Otherwise, I’m good,” Koda mutters as he pulls me away, with Baine and Everest right behind us.
Nerves flutter in my belly, and the heat of uncertainty bristles across my skin. Perhaps coming here was a mistake. I inhale deeply, glancing at Koda, whose expression echoes my own unease.
“Let’s see what they have to say,” I tell him, attempting to project more confidence than I truly feel.
Yet deep down, an unsettling premonition gnaws at me, warning that something might go awry.
