"It's just me," says a strong, but quiet Alex. I peak out to watch him sit on the closed toilet and hold his head in his hands.

"Are you okay?"

"I just...I almost lost you today."

"Come in here." I demand, reaching my hand out to him. He pauses, looking at me for a moment, before stripping off his clothes and joining me in the shower. I take a moment to appreciate his naked form before I bring my hands to his face and bring his eyes to mine.

"You didn't lose me. I'm right here. I'm safe. Because of you." I pick up the body soap and begin washing Alex. I run my soapy hands slowly up and down his chest, his shoulders, each arm. I have a feeling he needs my touch, my presence, my reassurance that everything is okay and that he saved the day. And that I don't think he failed. He's most certainly beating himself up for even allowing someone to get close enough to touch me.

I spin him around so I can wash down his back, his gorgeous ass, and his strong legs. Alex is all anger and angst and darkness, but underneath is still just a man. A man who wants to be useful, who wants to be needed. As I work my way back up his legs, his erection hangs thick and proud in front of me. My mouth waters but now isn't the time to confuse sex with love.

I take in his face again. His eyes are still distant, a dark crease marring his brow. I can tell he's processing, working on a problem.

"Hey, look at me." Slowly his eyes find mine.

"You saved me today. Just like I knew you would. Stop beating yourself up over something you didright. After this, let's get with the boys and talk about what happened. Come up with a plan. Okay? You're not alone. You don't have to do it all alone." I press my lips to his. Soft and subtle, with no fire behind it, just a reminder to stay present.

Suddenly, he spins me and slams my back into the wall, resting his forearms on either side of my head, boxing me in. The whisky brown eyes that were been dull before burn now. They burn with desire, with need, with fear.

"I need you. I need to feel you," he whispers desperately, his breaths coming in short and fast.

"I'm here. You have me."

He crashes his lips to mine in a fury. One hand grabs my breast roughly, while the other lifts my leg up around his hip. In one stroke he slams into me, pain mixing with pleasure. He needs me, needs to know I am here, with him, and I am going to let him use my body however he wants. He sets a frantic pace, hammering and rutting into me. His hands roam, grab and squeezing and leave bruises in his desperation. My back pounds against the tile wall behind me, but all I can feel is this man, full of fear and rage and need, burning need. His desperation for me, the way he protects me, the frenetic pace he sets has my orgasm building quickly. Each desperate thrust brings me closer to the edge until we both climax together, him with a low growl and me with a breathy mewl.

As we come back to reality, he lowers my leg and slips out of me. He rests his forehead against mine as we catch our breaths. I kiss him, sweetly, hopefully reassuring him.

"I'm going to need to be near you, for a little while I think. I hope you know that." He's shaking.

"Of course."

We get out of the shower and towel off before putting on our sleeping clothes. When we walk back to the bedroom area, Liam's sitting on one of the beds, crossed-legged, while Brick sits in the chair by the table. Both have shocked and stricken expressions on their faces.

Alex sits on the other bed and pulls me into his lap. Uncomfortable silence fills the air before I break it.

"Okay, let's go over tonight and try to make some sense of it. We were working the room when someone pulled the fire alarm. Alex, did you see anyone or anything suspicious, because I didn't?"

"No, everyone seemed like they were just doing the rounds. The influencers were chatting and drinking and taking pictures or live streaming. The servers were all just busy serving. I didn't see anything out of the ordinary. Except that Sammy prick."

"Okay, so someone pulled the fire alarm, we rushed to the exit, and then someone pulled my wrist backwards."

Shock and anger shoot across Liam and Brick's face. Their eyes dart between Alex and I.

Shit. We hadn't told them that part. While I don't want to hurt them or scare them anymore, we need to come together to figure out next steps. Their eyes dart between me and Alex. Recognition and sympathy dawn on them as they begin to understand Alex's mood.

"So," I continue. I can tell from the look on their faces they're all suspecting it was my stalker who orchestrated the chaos in an attempt to get access to me. "What if it was just a prank? I'm sure there were half a dozen influencers there that would pull something like that for ratings." Alex squeezes me tighter, burying his head against my chest and breathing me in.

Liam stands, grateful for direction. "Let me rewind the tapes. I didn't see anyone pull the fire alarm in the moment, but all of the feeds are set to record." He grabs his laptop from its case and sets it up on the small table in the corner. He spends a quiet few minutes pulling up the tapes and rewinding them to where he wants. Alex rubs small circles on my thigh with his thumb while I run my hand through his wet hair.

Liam spins the laptop around and shows us. "There. Someone in a mask pulls the alarm." He pulls up the other cameras that followed Alex and I though the museum during our escape. He points a finger at the black and white video. "And here, that same person in the mask pulls your arm."

The problem is, the figure it hunched, so it's impossible to tell his true size, and his shoulders are hidden behind the crowd. It's impossible to tell if it's Sammy or not.

A heavy silence blankets the room. We all accept that the man in the mask is most likely my stalker, and our fears are confirmed. And we're no closer to identifying who the stalker is.

"If that was him, he's escalating," Liam says the obvious, carefully.

"What do we do now?" Alex asks, his voice small and tender.
