My mind flashes back to Fifty’s dark eyes and a small shiver runs through me, a heated pulse settling uncomfortably between my thighs. Suddenly, the forgotten dream I had last night resurfaces and I can feel his large frame situated between my thighs as my ass rests on the edge of the cool diner counter. A bright smile flashes on his lips as he lifts his head after tasting me, and he tells me that I’m sweeter than the pancakes before dropping back down and devouring me completely.

Never in my life have I had a dream so vivid and real. And I know I’ve only ever seen him twice at the diner, but there is something about him that I just can’t seem to ignore. I feel drawn to him in a way I can’t even explain.

“Wake up, darlin’,” Shark’s voice breaks through my daydream and I lift my glass, gulping down a generous sip trying to cool my now heated body.

“Sorry, did you say something?” I question feeling embarrassed to be caught in that moment.

“Fuck. It looks like I might have some competition,” Shark grins back.

“What?” I ask, unsure of his meaning.

“That glazed, faraway look that came over just at the thought of my boy. I’ve seen that look before. I can tell, he’s already under your skin. No need to hide it or be ashamed, it just hurts,” he says lifting his hand to his chest and feigning pain.

“Oh, save it,” I snap back and his eyes widen at my response. “I don’t even know him. And if you really wanted anything with me, or any other girl, you wouldn’t spend most of your nights at a strip club watching other women take their clothes off,” I remind him roughly of his nightly exploits.

“Aw, shit, Shark. She just fuckin’ schooled you,” Jimmy laughs from behind the bar.

“Mind your fuckin’ business if you want any sort of tip tonight,” Shark glares back. His hand moves into his leather cut and he carefully reveals a wad of cash.

“I guess we’re changing the rules tonight. If you don’t want to take me seriously, then it’s time for plan B. Tonight, you’re dancing for me,” he says dropping the cash on the bar in front of me and I can tell from the change in his tone that he’s not joking.

“C’mon,” he requests, holding out his hand for me to take as I slide from my bar stool.

I feel dazed as he leads me towards a more private area of the club. I know he’s seen me on stage before, but he’s never requested a lap dance. It definitely feels like a line is being crossed tonight.

It’s clear that the holidays are right around the corner. As I roll through town, I see Christmas decorations lining the streets. I have plans to see Ma later for dinner, and I’m sure she’ll want some help getting her tree up. But right now, I’ve got the diner in my sights.

“Hey, Fifty. You’re here early,” Sadie’s voice greets me as soon as I step through the door. I lift my gaze to find her leaning over the counter, squeezing her small tits together, obviously trying to get my attention.

“Mornin’, Sadie,” I return as I grab an empty stool at the counter before the place starts to fill up. “How’s Brad?” I make a point to ask about her husband. They’ve been an item since we were all in high school. I’ve heard rumors around town that they both like to step out, but it’s still fun to put her right on the spot.

“He’s good. But he’s actually been out on the road for the past couple weeks. I’ve been a little lonely,” she starts, but doesn’t get the chance to finish whatever proposition she was going to make because Gloria appears.

“Sadie, I need you to grab that other rack of mugs from the kitchen,” Gloria instructs, stepping through the swinging door. She’s followed closely by the curvy brunette I came here to see. She sets a large rack filled with coffee mugs down and starts pulling them out and setting them on the shelf.

“You can go ahead and start taking orders at the counter,” she says over her shoulder to Jade.

“But, I…” Sadie starts to argue, but Gloria throws her a look that would make anyone bite their tongue. She stops and offers a small nod before disappearing into the kitchen.

I focus my attention on the menu in front of me, as I consider going with something different this time around.

“Coffee?” the soft question prompts me to look up.

I let my eyes linger, enjoying the simple blue t-shirt clinging to her generous curves. I can’t help but imagine the perfection hiding beneath the fabric as it pulls tightly across her chest.

“Mornin’, Jade,” I offer as I finally move my gaze to her sweet face. Her eyes go wide and the puzzled expression filling her face is priceless. She didn’t expect me to know her name.

“And yes, I’d love some,” I say, lifting my empty mug for her to fill. She starts to pour, but keeps her stunning green eyes focused on me. Last time I was here, she would barely look at me, but now she’s practically begging for more.

“So, will it be pancakes again today?” she smirks and I feel my eyebrows lift.

“I’m flattered that you remembered,” I flash her a playful grin.

“It was…uh…hard to forget,” she says, turning a soft pink as her finger twists softly in her hair.
