“Unless spying has started to pay better?”

“Oh, shut up,” Neil grumbled.

“I’m not in the mood for wine,” he said, unsurprised when Neil looked at him with lust spreading in his eyes.

Marco swung a leg over Neil’s thighs and slid into his lap.

Neil dropped the menu onto the nightstand and asked, “Whatareyou in the mood for?”

Marco leaned closer, hands grabbing the headboard behind Neil.

“Getting to know you better.”

Neil’s expression didn’t change but the hand he’d been sliding up Marco’s thigh stopped moving. They stared at each other for a few heartbeats, and he felt a lump starting to form in his throat. Was he moving too fast? Hewasasking a spook to share his secrets with him.

“What do you want to know?” Neil asked, a note of hesitancy in his voice.

“Where were you born?”

“Kansas.”

“How old are you?”

“Too old for you,” Neil said, lips twitching.

Neil’s hand started moving again, sliding around to grab a handful of Marco’s ass.

He groaned. “That’s cheating.”

“You’re the one who crawled in my lap.”

“That might’ve been a slight miscalculation on my part.”

“You don’t say.”

Neil’s eyes were gleaming. He looked so fucking hot leaning back against the headboard, black hair curling slightly at the ends, his chest bare, and that wry smile on his lips.

Nope. He wasn’t going to let Neil distract him.

“Favorite color?”

The rumble of laughter coming from Neil had him grinning down at the man. He looked damn good with a smile on his face.

“Gray,” Neil answered with laughter in his voice.

“Obviously,” Marco said, rolling his eyes.

“Obviously.”

He shook his head and leaned down, stopping when his lips were an inch from Neil’s.

“You haven’t asked me anything.”

He could feel the hesitance in Neil’s whole body and when he pulled back, he saw it in his eyes, too.

“Because you already know everything about me,” he drawled.

Neil pressed his lips together and almost looked sorry as he met Marco’s gaze.
