After the shower Luca helped me move my things into the master bedroom. We left everything in my suitcase until I could make room in the closet later.

Luca watched in amusement as I changed my outfit five times before deciding on skinny jeans, an oversized T-shirt that hung off my shoulder and comfy wedges. Clearly the man had never watched a woman get ready before.

“Are you sure about that shirt?” He teased with a smirk, leaning against the door jam. I took in the dark jeans and black long sleeve button up he had thrown on. His dark hair was still a little tussled. Saliva pooled in my mouth. It was a total toss up if Luca looked sexier in casual clothing or a suit.

I wrinkled my nose, playing into his question. “I don’t know. Maybe I should try on the first one again.”

His eyes rolled to the ceiling but the grin was all amusement. The laugh that bubbled up my throat caused him to stop and stare.

“What?” I asked.

“I like hearing you laugh.” Before I could return the sentiment—because Luca had a rich, beautiful laugh— he said, “Come down when you are ready. I’ll make us some lunch, since we slept through breakfast.”

“Ok.” As he left my eyes stayed glued to his fine ass until he was out of sight.

We pulled up to the back entrance of what looked to be a normal doctors office, where a gentleman with graying hair and glasses opened the back door for us. The space felt complete with a reception room, receptionist window, and multiple patient rooms.

“How does he treat your men here without getting attention from other people?”

“This location is used for after hours or closed days. If necessary we have home locations set up for emergencies, like surgery that require avoiding public locations altogether.”

“Surgery? In a home? Really?”

“Yes. Full surgical rooms and equipment.”

“Wow.” I shook my head. Surgery in a home? Insanity.

The doctor ushered us into a room where he spoke to me only to ask medical questions. He did however, speak to Luca in Italian regularly. My eyes darted back and forth between them, not liking the inability to understand, putting me on edge. When Luca noticed my discomfort he placed a reassuring hand on my back.

After the preliminary questions, the doctor asked Luca to leave the room so he could give me an exam. I watched him exit less then pleased, knowing what was going to be happening when he left.

I felt his pain. My doctor was about as talkative as they came. Plus I’d known her for years. Having a total stranger— even a doctor— inspect your vagina, is barely tolerable.

The doctor— who remained nameless— gave me the shot with hardly two words passing between us. When I exited the exam room Luca handed a stack of cash to the doc, who quickly ushered us to the back door. We stepped into the alley and the man shut the door without so much as a goodbye.

“Not much of a talker,” I grumbled, still feeling uneasy.

“Are you ok?”

“Ya. I’m fine. The guy just wasn’t at all friendly. Just made things really awkward. I mean he didn’t even want to know my name.”

“The less he knows, the less he has to hide if he gets detained by the cops.”

“That makes sense.”

“I’m sorry it was so uncomfortable for you.” Luca opened the passenger side door for me.

“It’s ok, just glad it’s over.” Before climbing in I turned to him. “Can we go to the store? I desperately need essentials.” I’d milked every travel size bottle I brought with me bone-dry.

“Yes. Then we are going to go to the grocery store to pick up a few things so I can cook you dinner.”

“How about we both cook? If I keep letting you and Nova do all the cooking, it’s going to spoil me,” I huffed.

“Maybe I want to spoil you.” His voice lowered, my heart knocked against my ribs. Light reflected off his strong features, as his throat bobbed in a hard swallow, telling me those words came from somewhere way beyond his comfort zone. “And after tonight I’m not sure when you will get the pleasure again.”
