Unknown:I’m sorry for what I said last check-in… about Mica. You didn’t need to know that.
Carter:One more slave to save, right?
Unknown:Right.
Carter:Only if he doesn’t kill him first, of course. Mica is the one who asked you about killing slaves and getting replacements, right?
Unknown:Right…
Unknown:Sorry to make you wait so long this time.Nothing interesting to report – still alive.
Carter:Same here.
Carter:Glad you’re okay.
Unknown:Are you?
Unknown:Okay, I mean. Are you okay?
Carter:I’m fine. You just worry about being safe. You have a promise to keep, remember?
Unknown:I remember.
Unknown:I’m keeping it.
Unknown:Crawfish for dinner again. I think I oversold my love for it the first time. They seem to be under the impression they’ve done me a favor by cooking this disgusting fish-imposter for me.
Carter:I mean… protein bar and canned pineapple again tonight, so…
Unknown:You could at least mix it up. I know for a fact I left you canned oranges and peaches too.
Carter:Casey doesn’t like peaches. I ate some with breakfast.
Unknown:You’re always making sacrifices. I can’t wait for this to all be over so you don’t have to anymore.
Carter:Is eating more peaches and no oranges really that much of a sacrifice?
Unknown:It’s all a sacrifice. Every breath you take in that house.
Unknown:I promise I’m getting you out.
Unknown:I just met a man named Scooter who is the leading weapon supplier in the area. I can’t decide what’s worse – his parents actually naming him Scooter, or him allowing that to become his nickname.
Carter:The guy sells weapons. Either way, he has the power to stop it and he hasn’t. Something is definitely wrong with him.
Unknown:Brain tumor?
Carter:Idiocy?
Unknown:Both?
Carter:Both.
Unknown:Hey Carter?
Carter:Yeah?
Unknown:I miss you.
