“Did you…?’ I ask, gazing down.
He gives me a sheepish look. “Pretty much as soon as I put my fingers in you, yeah.”
I didn’t even notice.
“You taste the same too, by the way,” he says, not sheepish anymore.
I turn my face into the pillow and laugh, and I hear him laugh too.
“Still strawberries.”
“You are such a liar!”
“What? I’m not—that’s how you taste.”
“I don’t even think that’s medically possible.” I’m laughing harder now.
“Well, you’d know, I suppose.”
When the giggles fade, I feel so bloody happy it’s ridiculous. “You know,” I say as I reach up and brush my thumb over his full bottom lip. “I’m always amazed by how clean of an eater you are.” I find it hard to hold back my grin.
“It amazes you. What, you thought I’d be a fucking savage or something?” Jake pretends to look shocked, and then he looks insulted.
“Or something.”
He sticks out his bottom lip as he thinks about it. “Or maybe I just like eating and I hate fucking waste?”
I burst out laughing again, and he pulls me on top of him and kisses me hard, shutting me up. He feels hard once more between us, and as I move my body on top of him while we kiss I feel him grow harder.
“I should return the favor, don’t you think?” I suggest, biting my lip.
“It would be the polite thing to do, but I should probably clean myself up first.”
“That would also be the polite thing to do.” I nod.
He’s off the bed in a flash and in the bathroom with the door closed and the water running when there’s a soft knock on the door.
Didn’t I put the “do not disturb” sign on? Hastily, I pull on my white bed shorts, brush a hand through my ruffled, post-oral-sex morning hair, and go to open the door.
It’s not room service.
Rob is dressed in khaki chinos and a stylish gray Celine T-shirt, sunglasses and hair piled on top of her head. She looks disgustingly bright and fresh. She’d look good after being run over by truck, and it makes me sick.
“Morning.” I smile.
There’s worry and concern etched in her blue eyes as she looks me over. “You okay? What happened? You never came back, so…did you find him?” She reaches out to brush a strand of stray post-oral-sex hair back from my face.
“I found him.” The grin gathers at the side of my mouth, and I catch it between my teeth.
Her eyes go wide and pleased. “And…?”
“And…well…he’s…”
Beside the door to the room, the door to the bathroom opens and Jake strolls out, completely naked.
“Well, well, well, look who it is…” Rob says as her eyes take a leisurely, unbidden stroll down his body.
“Fuck!” Jake exclaims, but he looks only mildly uncomfortable rather than mortified. “Morning, Robyn,” he says.
