As they pulled into the driveway with their new motorhome, she was still speechless. Zeus hadn’t been kidding when he said he had a good lead on one. It was nearly new and had things she hadn’t even thought about as options. “Zeus? Can we sleep in here tonight?”

He chuckled before saying, “No, mi siempre hermosa. As much as I want to christen every surface in here with you, we will wait until we are married.”

Dammit! He was usingthat voiceagain and she wanted nothing more than to pout to get her way. Then again, they had decided on a date two weeks from now, so she could wait. Maybe. “Um, does that mean we aren’t sleeping together any more until we get married?” she asked, mischief lighting her eyes.

“No, my little minx, we will sleep together every night until then,” he replied, chuckling.

“Fine, then I’ll wait to christen our motorhome. I can’t wait to take trips with the animals,” she said.

He rolled his eyes and then thought about it. There was a small alcove at the top he could put a netting up so the cats would be safe while they drove and Duke would be fine on the couch. “Let me see what we can do to fix it up so we can take them, si? Then we can take them with us if you want.”

“Nope, I want you all to myself for two weeks. Daddy already said they’d come and stay and take care of the animals.”

“How did they take the news?” he asked cautiously.

“Well, Mother didn’t understand why I wanted to go to the courthouse until I explained, but Daddy understood. By the way, he was impressed that you asked him for permission to marry me.”

“It’s about honor and respect, mi siempre hermosa. Now, let’s go see what the kids have gotten into today,” he said as he shut everything down and got out.

“Ha, yes, the little heathens! I still cannot believe Sheba did that the other day,” she said. The memory of coming home and seeing the kitten sound asleep in a long, flowing stream of toilet paper had her giggling.

Two Weeks Later

“Mi siempre hermosa, we don’t want to be late,” he told her coming into the bathroom where she was getting ready. Seeing her standing there in a mid-calf ivory dress, he caught his breath. “You look stunning, Marleigh,” he said as he came up behind her and kissed her neck.

Her eyes caught his in the mirror and she smiled as she said, “Thank you, handsome. We both clean up well don’t we?”

“Si, we do. I have everything packed in the motorhome already and after the reception, we will head out.”

“We won’t be driving long tonight, will we?”

“Um, no. I can’t wait too long to be buried in you once again. It’s been too long already,” he growled. She had gotten her period the first week and then this week, had been busy fitting in all her customers so she could take two weeks off, coming home exhausted every night.

Finally ready, she said, “Let’s go get hitched before you change your mind, handsome.”

“Not happening, mi siempre hermosa. Not happening.”

“Paulie and Gray are meeting us there, right?”

“Yes, then from there, we are heading to the reception. Be prepared, mi siempre hermosa.”

Rolling her eyes, she linked her arm in his and said, “I’m ready.”

Forty minutes later, amid a few tears from Paulie – okay and her as well – they were Mr. and Mrs. Jesús Álvarez. Now headed to the reception, she snuggled against him and sighed. “What’s going on in that head of yours, my beautiful wife?”

“Oh, just wondering how long we have to stay at our own party,” she mused.

He started laughing. His poor girl was feeling needy and he wanted to give her what she wanted, but she was going to have to wait. Paulie had arranged to get the motorhome to the reception for them and he already had the address of their first stop in the GPS. “We will be there a few hours, mi siempre hermosa. Then you’ll have me all to yourself for two weeks.”

“Mmmm, can’t wait, handsome.”

“Ladies and gentlemen, would the bride and groom please come to the dance floor,” the DJ requested.
