He knows I will be doing exactly what I just said, it may take a few years, but it will happen.

The lunch bell rings, and we both get up from our seats and start leaving the school courtyard to head back to class. Before I leave though, I turn to find Isabella. I give her a smile when I find that she is looking at me instead of paying attention to the asswipe that is currently trying to talk to her. With a wink in her direction, I turn and head to class.

The rest of the day goes by as slow as it possibly can with nothing exciting happening, and that’s including the announcement of what the prom theme is going to be this year.

Who the actual fuck cares what the prom theme is? Isn’t that a dance that students get all fancy for all so they can skip the dance and drink in a deserted parking lot somewhere?

No, thank you. I rather spend my prom night in San Pedro, Mexico where I can actually legally drink. The perks of having multiple citizenships to different countries that have a drinking age of eighteen.

I make my way out of my last class and head to my locker to grab my things. It's not too surprising that I find Isabella standing in front of it, waiting for me.

“I see that you finally got rid of the preppy schoolboy from lunch,” I approach her, giving her a smirk that says I’m just playing around.

“He’s harmless. Was just asking about an assignment in a class we share,” Isabella shrugs and I can’t help but let out a snort.

“Yeah, I’m sure that’s all that was.” This girl doesn’t know that every single guy in this school would kill to be with her. With me being at the top of that list.

She rolls her eyes at me, and I just go straight to opening my locker to grab a few things before going to find Leo and getting out of this place.

“So, did you hear about the prom theme?” Isabella asks once I have all of my things and we are walking side by side out of the building.

I nod. “It’s some generic shit.”

The comment earns me a small slap on the shoulder. “Once upon a time is not generic.”

I raise an eyebrow at her.

She sighs. “Okay maybe it is, but still, I’m excited for it and now I have a theme to work with to make my dress.”

“I’m sure you will come up with something that will blow all the other girls out of the water,” and she will. Isabella is only sixteen, but she is very talented when it comes to a sewing machine.

“Are you going?” it’s the hopefulness in her tone that makes me stop walking when we get to the parking lot.

I have a feeling she wants to ask something completely different, especially with how wide her eyes are and how she’s biting her lip.

“I wasn’t planning on it,” I give her a shrug and it just cause her to bite her lip even more.

“Why? It sounds like it will be fun.” The hope is still there. I want to just come out and tell her to ask me what she wants to ask, but a part of me doesn’t want to hurt her when I ultimately give my answer.

I give her a shrug playing it off. “It’s not something that I see myself going to. You should though, you should go and have fun with your friends. Knock everyone out with one of your dresses.”

I know for a fact that she will be the prettiest girl there.

Isabella continues to look at me with those brown eyes of hers, as if she is trying to figure me out. Probably contemplating why I’m not jumping at the chance to spend time with her, when I told her earlier in the day that one day she would be mine.

With due time, it will happen, but not yet.

Not now.

Finally, the brightness and hope in Isabella’s eyes dims a little bit. “Yeah, going with my friends should be fun.”

The small hint of disappointment makes me cringe a little but all I can do is give her a small smile and continue our way to the car.

On our way to the Morales estate, because yes I live there too, I have my whole entire life, I come up with a plan. One that would make Isabella happy and have her go to prom. Hopefully.

When we pull up to the estate, the plan is all but set in motion, I just have to work on some of the finer details and then everything will be set.

I need to actually grow the balls to go through with it, but for right now heading to the courtyard to map out my plan will have to do.
