Before Rollo could ask anything, Ava let go of him and stepped away from the table.

“Excuse me,” she said quietly. “I have to go to the ladies’ room.”

She walked away from the table with her head down, watching her thighs appear and vanish as she took each step.

Only when she was at the door did she look back. Rollo was walking out of the restaurant with Zoey hanging off his arm. An image flicked through Ava’s mind. It was of Rollo, with his head stuffed between Zoey’s legs, his mouth lapping up her wetness.

Ava’s stomach clenched, along with her thighs. She stumbled into the restroom, feeling heat rise up into her cheeks. She had to control herself. Pleasuring herself in a public restroom wasn’t a good idea, no matter how excited she was.

Chapter 3

Honey, I'm working late again tonight

She moved her legs between the sheets, stretching them out, as she lifted her hands to rub her tired eyes. A loud rustling sounded around her head. Her hands had touched something papery on her face. Frowning, Ava clenched her hands and felt the paper crinkle beneath her fingers. She tore it away from her face.

Bright light from the bedside table illuminated her, causing her to squint. The bedroom around her was bathed in orange-yellow light. It took a moment for Ava to realize she was at home, tucked up in bed. She looked to her left, ignoring the paper in her hands, and saw that Rollo wasn’t beside her.

Pulling her attention back to her hands, she saw that she’d fallen asleep with a magazine on her face. The article written at the top of the page read:10 Signs Your Husband Is Having An Affair. Ava sighed and tossed the magazine onto the floor before rolling onto her right side. The digital clock on the table told her it was ten minutes past two in the morning.

Downstairs, Rollo was thudding through the house. Ava listened as he dropped his shoes by the front door and shrugged off his jacket. He was just getting home now, no doubt coming straight to bed. Ava stayed on her right side, her back facing the bedroom door, and leaned forward a little to turn the light off. The room was cast into darkness. Ava kept her eyes closed as she listened to the sound of her husband lumbering toward the bedroom.

As soon as he stepped into the bedroom, Ava could smell the whiskey on his breath. He wafted it around the room as he shuffled around, stinking horribly. Ava clenched her teeth together and closed her eyes, squeezing them so hard she started to see red spots in her vision.

Working latewas always his excuse. Ava didn’t buy it, though. He’d had important projects at work before and had never, ever stayed out this late. Why was this one so special? What kind of employer supplied whiskey and cigars on-the-clock, anyway?

Rollo shrugged off his clothes, leaving them in a pile on the floor at the end of the bed. Ava listened as he went into the bathroom and closed the door behind him. A couple of seconds later, Ava heard him brushing his teeth. The vibrating sound of his electric toothbrush rattled through the walls. A brilliant idea popped into her mind:I should search his pockets.

Instantly, Ava slid out of the bed and tiptoed over to his clothes. She shoved her hands into his pockets, rummaging for evidence of his affair. There was a receipt in there. Ava held out the paper, desperately trying to read what was written. It was too dark, though.

Below her, Ava spotted Rollo’s phone shining in his pocket. She bent down to pick it up, meaning to use it as a flashlight for the receipt, but there was an unread message displayed on his lock screen. For a moment it was too bright for Ava to look at. She waited for her eyes to adjust. When she saw what was written there, her breath got caught in her throat.

Zoey

thank u sooo much for tonite xx

Of course, Ava thought.Of course he’s been with Zoey.Ava wasn’t sure why she hadn’t realized it sooner. Who else would he be spending so much damn time with?

Ever since they’d met Zoey on vacation, she’d somehow wormed her way into almost every aspect of their lives. Rollo, once finding out that she was studying Human-Computer Interaction, had immediately offered her an internship at his company. They’d had another thing to talk about and it had only increased their bond. They blabbed about robots and interfaces and whatever else for hours. Rollo was now glued to his phone, something he had never been that interested in before.

A loud gurgling sound came from the bathroom. Ava ripped her eyes away from the screen to realize that Rollo wasn’t brushing his teeth anymore. He was using mouthwash. He’d soon be out here.

Ava put his phone back into his pants pocket, along with the receipt she didn’t have a chance to look at. She climbed back into bed and tried her best to be in the same position as before.

The door opened behind her and within a moment Rollo’s warm body climbed into bed next to her. He smelt less of whiskey and more of minty mouthwash. It didn’t take long for him to start to breathe heavily, drifting off to sleep. Ava felt jealous. She wouldn’t be able to sleep that easily.

Thoughts pulsed around her mind, circling and swirling until it sounded like thousands of people were screaming inside her brain. All of those thoughts were centered around Zoey, poking her nose into their marriage and life.

How the hell was Ava going to get away from all of this? How was she going to separate their lives forever? It was the only thing she could think of doing. Every time she thought about Rollo and Zoey, something inside her broke... and yet it turned her on more than anything else ever had. Not even Rollo had managed to get her this aroused.

Ava had been trying to fight it for three weeks, ever since the idea invaded her mind. She couldn’t keep fighting it, though. As her hands slipped down her body, reaching between her legs, she glanced over to Rollo’s sleeping body. In the darkness, she could see his side rising and falling as he breathed slowly, steadily. Ava’s hand kept flowing down, feeling the soft skin of her stomach against her palm.

When her fingers reached down far enough, she could feel just how turned on she was. She was dripping. She covered her fingers in her own juices and dragged them up to her nub, spreading them around until she was fully wet. Starting off slowly, she rubbed her fingers against herself.

Instantly, she felt better. The tension was rising in her thighs but she knew that soon it would be released. Her stomach tightened, her whole body began to clench. Ava wished that she could reach into the box beneath the bed and find one of her toys. Her arm was starting to get tired from all the movement and using a vibe would make it so much easier.

Her arm was working furiously now, rubbing herself so hard and quick that she couldn’t take it for much longer. Her toes were curled, her thighs were so tight that she could barely move her legs, and everything inside of her felt like it was about to burst into flames. Beads of sweat formed on her hot, red face.
