Alistair wasn’t giving up this time, and with some help, thanks to Jasper and me, we were able to help Alistair surprise Elle with a bakery, which happened to be owned by Jasper. Alistair bought half of it to give to Elle as a please take me back, I love you, and I’m sorry my brother is crazy. This time Elle didn’t run from him, they were able to sort it out, and got back together.

Yay!

It was all-systems-go for the bakery, and thanks to Alex’s girlfriend, who happens to be the hottest celebrity interior designer in London, she designed our dream bakery. Also, a big thanks to Alex’s brother, Nate, our former boss, and Ivy’s sister, Camryn, who owns a luxury events company in New York, and happens to know fucking Dirty Texas, who came to our opening as did the ex-president of France. Like what in the hell? Ivy’s best friends with Olivia, who is married to Axel, one of the guys from Dirty Texas. We’ve become good friends through Ivy because of this new friend group with the boys. Olivia’s royalty, too, and owns all these estates around Europe, so she and Jasper get on well because of that.

A year after the opening of the bakery, Alistair whisked Eloise away to his villa in Greece and proceeded to propose to her there. What she didn’t know was that very next night, Alistair had arranged for all of us to arrive at the villa and surprise Elle and have an impromptu engagement party. She was beyond excited to see all her friends there celebrating this moment with her. Elle’s in no hurry to get married yet. She asked Alistair if they could wait till after the business made it through year two, and then she could concentrate on planning a wedding. Of course, Alistair couldn’t wait that long, so he suggested they get married at Town Hall and then have a big wedding at another time. Elle thought this was a brilliant idea.

When we found out they were going to do this without us, we were all horrified, so the gang showed up at Town Hall and proceeded to join in on their wedding day. We then took them out, and to celebrate, we had arranged a mini-wedding feast at a hotel. To be honest, it was perfect.

Eloise and I have been talking about looking into opening a second bakery somewhere in London. We’ve been looking for a while, and we haven’t found anything yet. What I do know is both Elle and I have put a spanner in the works of looking for location two with our partners, and they will both be finding out tonight.

“Hey, babe, how was your day?” I turn and ask him, wrapping my arms around his neck as he pulls me into his arms.

“Better now that I’m looking at you.”

“Well, I have a present for you.”

Jasper’s eyes widen before they narrow on me. “It better be the kind that ends with my dick in your mouth.”

Maybe, we’ll see how it goes. I slide the white box on the kitchen counter toward him. He stares down at the cupcake box and frowns.

“Is it a cupcake?” he asks, seemingly confused.

“It’s a special kind, never before seen.”

Jasper looks like he thinks I’ve lost my mind, but he opens the cupcake box and stops. He blinks a couple of times before his jaw falls open.

“What the hell is this?” he asks, pulling the tube of plastic from the icing on the cupcake. “Is it what I think it is?”

I nod.

“No.”

“Yes.”

“No,” he says again, shock beginning to set in. “You’re pregnant?”

I nod again as a smile falls on my face.

“Wait, how, when, what?” he asks, looking flustered.

“I think you know how.” I say raising a brow.

“When it was your birthday.” I say reminding him.

“And what, we don’t know what we are having yet.”

“We’re having a baby?”

“Yes, we’re having a baby, and not only that, Alistair is also finding out tonight he’s going to be a father too.”

Jasper drops the pregnancy test and turns pale. “He’s the father?”

“Oh, fuck no, you idiot. Elle’s pregnant. Alistair didn’t knock me up,” I yell at him as I hit him on the arm. “What the hell, Jasper?”

“I’m in shock, babe, my brain isn’t computing. I’m behind the ball a bit here, okay.” He picks up the test again. “We’re really having a baby?” He stares up at me in awe.

“We’re going to be parents.”
