When he added another finger and began to play with her clit with his thumb, she thought her heart was going to pound right out of her chest. The pleasure he was creating inside of her was overwhelming her senses.

He smelled like leather and oak, and she couldn’t get enough of it. On top of the hair and beard and sexy eyes, he was smart and sweet. The sound of his voice whispering in her ear sent shivers through her body just like his touch brought her to the brink of pleasure faster than she ever experienced before. One kiss from him had her wanting to strip him naked and taste every inch of his body.

“Yeah, Ruby, ride my hand,” he growled against her mouth.

She hadn’t even realized it, but she was working her hips with the rhythm of his fingers. Looking into his eyes as she kept moving, she saw the lust and awe and something she didn’t quite recognize in his eyes. That was all she needed.

Bri gasped as her pleasure crested and spilled over the edge, her climax rising inside of her. Rebel slammed his mouth to hers and swallowed her cries of pleasure. He kept kissing her as her climax eased, leaving her limbs loose and relaxed, and cupped her core again.

“Good?”

She nodded and smiled up at him. “More than good.”

“Good.” He went back to kissing her.

Desperate to feel his skin, Bri slid her hands under his cut to grip his Henley and yank it up. Finally, she was able to touch and caress the skin of his abdomen, trace his muscles, and follow his happy trail to the button of his jeans.

Rebel broke their kiss and pressed his forehead to hers. “You… you don’t have to.”

“You don’t want me to?”

He quietly chuckled. “Sweetie, I want your hands all over me, more than I think I want anything else in this world. And, yes, I’m sure that made very little sense. Maybe.”

Gazing into his eyes, Bri giggled and unbuttoned his jeans. “I want to.”

“By all means.”

She had just gripped his zipper, ready to unzip his jeans, when a noise came from somewhere around them. The sound popped their privacy bubble and had Rebel on alert.

His head snapped up and looked around as his hands moved to her chest and began fixing her clothes. Once she was covered, he climbed to his feet and refastened his jeans as he scanned their surroundings.

Rebel

Ignoring the growling wolf inside of him, Rebel climbed to his feet and refastened his jeans. The desire to kill whoever was making those noises was overwhelming. Not only was he worried about Ruby’s safety, but he was about to have her hands on him, and this fucker was interrupting their fun.

He felt like they had been in a state of foreplay since the first time he saw her. Would he have went all the way and fucked her for the first time on the blanket? No, probably not, but he desperately needed some relief that didn’t come from his hand.

His wolf was prowling inside of him, irritated that he hadn’t claimed Ruby, as well as worried for her safety. Rebel took a deep breath as he visually scanned the area, needing to get himself and his wolf under control.

Scanning the tree line, he shifted to the side to look down the walkway a bit. He didn’t see anyone. Turning slowly, he let his eyes scan the tree line again, until he reached the hill. When he didn’t see anyone, he looked down at Ruby, sitting on the blanket, fully put back together. He put his finger to his lips in a request for her to remain quiet. Once he got a nod from her, he stealthily made his way around the bottom of the hill and came face to face with Elsie and Elfie Kirsh, a married couple from Warden’s Pass who had had a problem with the Howlers since the Howlers helped their daughter-in-law, Kathy, escape their abusive son, Ernie.

“You should be ashamed of yourself,” the old bitty hissed at Rebel, while clutching to her husband’s arm.

“What in the fuck are you doing here?” Rebel could barely get the question out through his gritted teeth. His gut was telling him it wasn’t a coincidence.

“We were just walking the beach,” Elfie said as he lifted his chin and attempted to look down his nose at Rebel. “This is a public beach. What you two were doing isindecent.”

Rebel crossed his arms over his chest and chuckled. “You’re just pissed that she won’t let you touch her like that.” Ignoring their gasp, Rebel turned and headed back around the hill to Ruby.

He knew they were following him, but he was over their bullshit. Grabbing the blanket from the ground, he took Ruby’s hand and headed for the walkway.

“Miss, you should know better than toassociatewith trash like that.”

When Ruby stopped and turned to face the couple, Rebel said, “Just ignore them.”

“No.” Ruby pulled her hand from Rebel’s and finished turning around.

With a sigh, Rebel also turned around. His woman had her hands on her supple hips, looking like she was about to burn the world down with the fire shooting from her stare.
