Every head turned to the front door, where Holly stood angrily, glaring daggers at Sarah.

“Tell the little tramp to run home to Mommy.”

Stepping forward, I moved Sarah behind me and sneered, “You don’t get to talk to her that way.”

“I’ll talk to the little slut anyway I want.”

“Not while I have breath in my body.”

“I claimed you four years ago. I own you.”

King chuckled. “Is that so? This bitch own you, Cord?”

I growled. “Fuck, no. No one owns me.”

Holly sneered. “I didn’t invest four years of my life to have some fucking child walk in and take over. Now send her back to the nursery and I will forget about this transgression.”

“Transgression?” Jessica whispered. “She can’t be that stupid. He fucks another woman, and she still wants his ass?”

“Apparently she didn’t learn shit in that fancy school she went to,” Bailey goaded. “What self-respecting woman would ever take a man back that fucked around on her? I know I wouldn’t.”

“Me either,” Jess muttered.

“You two bitches stay out of this,” Holly sneered at Jess and Bailey. “I don’t need to explain myself to a fat cow and the town slut.”

“You must be the slut,” Jess whispered to Bailey. “I’m married.”

Bailey shrugged. “I’ve been called worse.”

“I think it’s time you left,” Sarah’s soft voice clearly said from behind me, as she moved to the forefront. “I will not have you disrespecting my friends in my home. It is clear Gunner doesn’t want you anymore. Take what dignity you have left and leave.”

Holly’s eyes snapped to mine. “What’s this bitch talking about?”

“She moved in yesterday,” I admitted.

“I won’t ask you again,” Sarah said, standing her ground.

While I was all for babydoll claiming what was hers, I didn’t trust Holly. The bitch was scrappy and easily angered. I’d seen the woman throw down with the best of them.

I didn’t want Sarah hurt because of my fuck-up.

Neither woman moved as everyone waited on bated breath for what we all knew was about to happen. While I was all for a good cat fight, I couldn’t let Sarah get hurt. She could be pregnant, and I didn’t want anything to happen to her. However, before I came to that realization, I heard Holly screech loudly as she charged Sarah.

Before I could reach for Sarah, my babydoll quickly sidestepped, allowing Holly to crash into the back of my couch.

“I don’t want to hurt you. Please leave,” Sarah clearly said for all to hear.

“You fucking cunt!” Holly roared, charging Sarah once more. And like before, Sarah stepped to the side, allowing Holly to crash into the wooden wall of the cabin, hitting her face hard.

“Damn,” Jessica giggled before taking a sip of her coffee.

“Yep. That’s gonna leave a mark,” Bailey added.

“Last warning, Holly,” Sarah said more forcefully, taking a protective fighting stance. “Leave now before you get hurt.”

Wiping her bleeding nose with the back of her hand, Holly growled, “I’m going to kick your ass.”

“Don’t say I didn’t warn you.”
