After a weekof completing business and moving arrangements, we made a quick trip up to the Isle of Skye to see the fairy pools and then returned to London to board a plane back to New York.

As the plane hit its cruising altitude, Victoria leaned over to me. "I'm having the strangest sense of déjà vu."

I arched an eyebrow. "Are you now?"

She nodded. "I believe I've been here before.”

I was extremely pleased that she was recognizing that this was a full-circle moment. We had first come together in a crazy mixture of passion and lust on a flight from London to New York. It was intended to be a one-off, nothing more.

This time, I was going to do it right. This time, it was going to be forever.

Victoria walked her fingers up my left arm. "Are you feeling like a little adventure, Sterling?"

"I'm always upfor an adventure, and for you, I'm always up."

Her eyes glanced down to my lap. She looked up at me with delight in her eyes. "Well, then." She nonchalantly looked around as she unbuckled her seatbelt. She made her way up to the first-class restroom, and just as she was stepping through the door, she caught my eye, giving me the proverbial come-hither look. She closed the door behind her, and I sat for a moment, even though deep down I wanted to jump out of my seat and sprint to the bathroom. The passengers around us were all busy reading, working, or watching a movie.

Acting as normally as I could, I exited my seat and made my way up to the restroom. I opened the door, slipping in. Victoria was standing against the sink, her eyes filled with passion.

I brought my hands to her hips, settling my hard dick against her belly, wanting her to know just what she did to me. "So, we meet again."

She looped her arms around my neck. "Fancy seeing you here again."

I bent down to kiss her, tasting the sweet lips I intended to taste until my dying day.

When I pulled away, she looked up at me, her brow arched. "Should I be worried that you're not ravishing me already?"

"The ravishing will commence in a moment. First, I have something I need to talk to you about."

Her brows drew together. I was sure she was wondering why I didn't say whatever I needed to say back at our seats. But I couldn't. This was the best spot for what I needed to say to her.

My nerve endings tingled, and a bead of sweat slid down my back. I was nervous. "I told you I wanted to know."

Her smile was lovely. She nodded. “I'm glad you pulled your head out of your ass and decided to find out."

I flashed a grin, loving it when Victoria didn’t mince words. "What I wanted to tell you is that I do know. Without a doubt, Victoria, I know we’re going to work." I brought my hand to her cheek as her eyes rounded.

"I know that I was totally against a settled life, and a month and a half is a crazy time frame to know that I was wrong about that. But it’s as clear as day that my life is with you and the baby. And what I'm taking a long time to get to is to ask you to marry me."

I remembered the ring I bought shortly after I arrived in London. I quickly pulled it out of my left pocket where I had stashed it. I held it up, hoping she liked it. It wasn't elaborate, overflowing with jewels. It was elegant, a single perfect diamond for a single perfect woman.

She looked at the ring and then me. "Oh, my God."

The nervousness picked up. Was this too soon? "You're killing me here, Victoria."

She blinked, and then a smile radiated from her face. He held up her left hand. "Yes. Yes, yes, yes. I want to marry you."

Thank fuck. I slipped the ring on her finger and then pulled her into a tight embrace, just holding her, savoring the fact that I would hold her like this until the day I died.

“You planned this?” she asked.

“I did. I almost asked you in Scotland—”

“This is the right spot. Where it all started.”

I dropped my forehead against hers. “It did start there, Victoria. I remembered wishing I’d broken my rule and taken you home. Asked for your name and number. You grabbed my heart and never let go.”

She smiled. “For a committed bachelor, you sure know how to make a girl swoon.”
