“No, but from what I’ve heard, you have to offer up anything you can to convince them to suck your cock.”

“Ouch, Dove. That hurts.”

“Not denying it though, I notice.”

“Little dove, the only begging that happens around me is them desperate for my cock.”

“Sure, it is. Here,” I say, handing over one of the boxes.

“Filet-O-Fish?” He balks, glaring down at it in disgust. “Out of all the things in that bag, you give me this?”

“I don’t like it.”

“Nor do I,” he counters.

“Yeah, well, you’re not locked in a cell still wearing yesterday’s clothes, having had your hair cut off and a bandage on your wrist, where some asshole tried to amputate your hand.”

“Whoa, I was trying to be nice. The knife slipped.”

“Sure, it did,” I mutter, diving in for the box of Chicken McNuggets.

I glance at him after throwing an entire nugget into my mouth and instantly feel bad. He genuinely looks gutted about hurting me.

“Does it still hurt?” he asks.

“Everything hurts. And I stink. And my hair is probably a fucking disaster. I understand why there are no mirrors in here.”

“That’s more so you don’t decide that death is better than being Reid’s pet and slash up your wrists with the glass.”

“I haven’t survived this long to bleed out in here for that cunt to find me. What?” I ask when he stares at me in disbelief.

“Nothing.”

I raise a brow.

“You’re stronger than you look, huh?”

“I guess you’ll find out if my stay here continues.”

“All you’ve got to do is answer Reid’s questions honestly,” he says like it’s the simplest thing in the world.

“Yeah, that’s not going to happen.”

“You’re working for Victor,” JD states, letting me know that he’s been talking to Reid.

“What I do is none of your business. Neither of you.”

“I’d have fully agreed until you ended up down here.”

“It’s probably a good thing that I don’t care what you think then, isn’t it?”

Throwing the McNugget box on the floor, I dive in for more.

“Does Mav know you’re working for Vic?” JD asks as I pull out a McChicken Sandwich and flip the box open.

I should probably stop before I make myself sick. But I’m still too hungry. And something tells me that Reid is clueless about this, and I need to make the most of the opportunity while I have it.

I shoot JD a glare.
