“I don’t know what happened to you last night, but whatever it was, it definitely was beneficial. You’re on fire today. Hell, I wish it would have happened sooner. All these weeks, we couldn’t figure out what was wrong, and all it took was one night of a vague misunderstanding for you to figure it out,” he says, and I want to tell him that it wasn’t the misunderstanding but the woman who came all over my hand this morning. I came over completely wasted and left a man in a relationship. I did not give her the option because Shannon will just find all the reasons she doesn’t want to be with me out of pure fear.
She is an exceptional woman. Smart, driven, successful, and in charge of every aspect of her life, including her love life, which is why she is single. As much as she wields her independence and strength, she needs a man who dominates her in a relationship, especially in the bedroom. If any man gives into her, she is going to eat them up and spit them out. Personally, I love her smart-ass mouth, it makes my dick hard, and I have enjoyed thinking of ways to shut her sexy ass up ever since our first kiss.
I wonder how she is doing if she has touched herself. It was an impulse test, and I am as anxious as a kid on Christmas Eve to know if she has been obedient or not. I check my watch and realize her gift should be arriving any minute now, and I wait for her call. Eli and I finish up, we finally worked out the issue with the prototype and now we can move to production.
“We have that meeting tomorrow with The C Corporation. I’m heading out, and I will see you tomorrow,”
“Have a good night, Eli,” I tell him and begin packing up to go home when my phone rings.
“Hello, Bella,”
“Legend, what is this mess you sent me?” she says without preamble, but I will not be rushed and she needs to learn that she cannot control me.
“Did you touch her today?” I ask, ignoring her question.
“Legend,”
“Is she wet, needy, and throbbing for me?” I am greeted with heavy breathing on the other end of the call. “Talk to me, baby. Answer the question. I won’t ask again,” I tell her.
“Yes,” she whispers, and I grin harder than I ever have in my life. She’s a fucking prickly pear and a perfect brat, and I love everything about it. I love the fight, I love her strength and headstrong ways, and I love knowing that out of the five billion people on this planet, she bends just for me.
“That’s what I wanted to hear. Don’t worry, I’ll take care of her later.”“Later! You know what, I don’t even know why I am sitting here waiting. I don’t listen to
you. You don’t run me, I am a grown-ass woman. I don’t even like you!” she rants in my ear, and
I burst out laughing. “Are you laughing at me?”
“Yep,” I say through my laughter.
“Stop laughing at me!”
“Stop making jokes, and I will. That’s the fear you’re allowing to rule you. Cut it out. I am
going to the club tonight, and I want you with me. Wear your gift, Bella. I’ll see you there at nine.
I’ll send a car for you, and you still are not allowed to touch her. See you tonight,” I tell her
before hanging up.
Shannon
I can hear Trinitee behind me, choking on the laughter she is trying to hold in.
“Girl, just two days ago, you hated the man, and today, he has you speaking all nice and sweet. I swear I never thought I would see the day,”
“Don’t you have someplace to be?” I snap at her, which only makes her laugh at me harder.
“So what the Legend say?” she asks and I run down the conversation.
“That makes sense. Kruze and Legend alternate their days in the club since seeing each other there would be too awkward,” she says, making air quotes when she says awkwardly.
“Uh yeah, I can see that. We not doing no sixties circle jerking around here,”
“Not circle jerking,” I say, laughing because something is truly wrong with Trinitee.
“Girl, yeah, you know, back then everybody was high, and it was anything goes,”
“You really are touched, and it’s not by an angel,”
