It also didn’t stop him from sucking me off every now and then, or me returning the favor. He was an easy target, something fun to pass the time. It was Cole who had held me hostage, but he never noticed. If he did, he didn’t show it. I don’t think he knew about me and Gabe, and if I’m to have any chance with Cole now, he can’t find out.

Now that I’m back, though, I’m going to make him notice me, one way or the other.

Four Years Ago

“Where did you get this from?” I ask Gabe, checking out a board that’s hanging on his wall.

“My dad brought it back from a business trip he had. I liked it so much, I didn’t want to use it, so I hung it up. It’s badass. Probably one of the better boards I’ve had,” he replies, taking his shirt off and lying on the bed.

My gaze goes from the board on the wall to him lying down. I swallow hard, looking away so he doesn’t see me staring at him. For fifteen, he has a gorgeous body. Toned in all the right places.I wonder what his brother looks like.

I shake my head slightly, focusing on who’s in front of me instead of who Iwishwas in front of me.

He’ll have to do until I crack his brother,I think to myself as I walk toward Gabe. Before he can respond, I lean over him, placing both of my hands on either side of his face.

“What are you doing?” He looks nervous, his eyes darting around to anywhere but me. Doing what has been done to me before, I place my thumb and index finger on his chin, forcing his attention to be on me and nowhere else.

“I’m going to kiss you,” I state.

“I—I’m not gay,” he whispers. I lick my lips, running my thumb along his lower lip.

“Do you want me to stop?” I ask, hoping he says no. It takes him a second to answer, but when he does, I don’t give him any time to change him mind. He shakes his head no as I make my move.

Our lips mold together as we kiss. His body slowly relaxes as he lets go of his morals and begins enjoying himself. My mind wanders into uncharted places as I wonder how far he’ll go with me. Even though it’s Gabe under me, I’d give almost anything for it to be Cole.

Chapter Ten

Cole

I called Derek this morning after my shower. I told him to come over so we can go to the skate park. I had to get out of the house and out of my head. Between the dream and the shower, I’m even more confused than before.

He’s in my head in ways I never thought he would be.

Before, I hated my visions of him, but this morning would say otherwise. I’ve been trying to convince myself that I hated what happened, but I can’t seem to believe it. What makes it worse is how I feel every time I think about it—or him for that matter.

I’ll just have to fake disinterest until he leaves, or until I leave—whichever comes first.

“Bro! Go!” some dude behind me yells. I look back, give him the finger and mouth ‘fuck you', then drop into the half pipe. The wind whips by me as I roll over the smooth surface. As I go up, I imagine I’m flying, going anywhere else but here. Then his face flashes in front of me and I panic. Opening my eyes too late, I wipe out hard, landing in an odd position, my skateboard rolling to a stop. I have to take a moment to gather myself before I even think about getting off the half pipe. The wind has been knocked out of me, and my ribs hurt.

Slowly, I get to my feet and walk off, trying to find a decent breath before I pass out.

Derek comes up to me. “Dude, you good?”

“Yeah, I just got distracted,” I puff out between breaths.

“What happened?”

“I just—I don’t fucking know anymore. My mind is all over the place.” We walk over to where our bags are and sit down, leaning against the fence for support.

“Your roommate getting to you?” Derek questions, opening his drink and taking a big swig of it.

“Something like that.” I shrug. “I don’t want to talk,Dr. Webber,” I mock, knowing he was going to ask that next.

“You realize his tactics actually work?” Derek says as he shoves a handful of chips into his mouth. “I mean, I wouldn’t fucking know but Mags,” he pauses to swallow, “she’s doing great.”

I let out a pained laugh as I open a candy bar. Derek goes silent as he eats his chips. The chocolate from the candy bar has melted and is getting all over my fingers as I unwrap it.
