“You think I don’t know about how helovesyou? Is that why you hate me so fucking much? Because I can’t give you that love you crave?”

“You are anasshole!”

“You turning this around on me now? Why? Just because you saw me with him? She told me you’d react like this. I should have known you’d throw that shit in my face.”

The more she struggles, the more something niggles inside of me.

She’s mine!

Growling, my tongue snakes up the side of her face and she shivers. That taste of fear is intoxicating, and my eyes roll back. She smells like the cocoa butter she always puts on, making her skin glisten.

She struggles again and I turn her around, trapping both her wrists behind her back. Her eyes widen but the fire is still there, simmering, waiting for my next move. My nose grazes hers and the fire grows into a living inferno. She head-butts me, and I laugh. The pain only drives me forward as I slam my lips on hers. She struggles and shuts her mouth, but a quick nip on her bottom lip has her opening just enough for my tongue to invade. She bites me and I force us both to taste the copper that fills our mouths. My hands slowly graze up her arm until I back her up enough to slam her ass against her dresser. Grabbing her neck to keep her face with me, I dominate the kiss, letting my tongue coax hers out to play.

Grazing the side of her breast, she sighs and finally surrenders, kissing me back with just as much passion as I knew she was hiding behind her eyes every time we’re in this room together.

“Jaiden, no,” she whispers unconvincingly.

“Don’t be like that, Mel.”

She melts. It’s a weapon I keep close to my chest.

“Jai—”

I bite her lip, swallowing her yelp as my hands lift her ass onto the dresser to bring our heights closer together. Her legs wrap around me and my dick throbs against her heat. My lips travel along her jaw, nipping at her skin.

“Say my name,” I command her.

Her chest rises and falls rapidly, pushing her breasts against me. Sucking her earlobe into my mouth, I bite down and whisper again. “Say my name.”

“Jaiden…”

“NO!” I shove her off me and start pacing the room.

“Wh-What?”

Turning around, I point my finger right at her face. “Don’t fucking play with me, Melanie. Don’t you dare callhisname.”

“Jaid—”

Grabbing her by the shoulders, I shake her and lift my lip in a snarl. “Jada. Say it.Say it!”

Her eyes widen, but all it does is make me groan with thoughts of her on her knees in front of me.

“Ja-Jad—”

“What’s going on up there? What’s all this crashing? You two better not be breaking things! Wasting my damn money—” The asshole downstairs yells out.

Melanie scrambles to get on her side of the room and starts to mess up her sheets. My head feels tight, my shoulders tensing at the sound of his voice behind the door. It slams open and the sound makes my head twitch. My skin feels too hot. I need to—something. My hands are itching as I slowly turn around to stare at the man that calls himself our father.

“Sorry, Dad. I was trying to find something in my drawer and kind of slipped against it. It probably sounds louder downstairs, but nothing happened. Jaiden was able to fix the problem and prevent the dresser from falling over.”

The sound of that name makes me grind my teeth.

“Keep the noise level down. Your mother and I are about to head to bed. Jaiden—”

My head twitches but I try to keep it still.

“Your mother wanted me to remind you of the food you left behind.”
