“I was there, I remember. He almost killed you.”
“Had you not used Dante as leverage, he would have.”
Ty nodded. “That is one power bottom I’d love to fill with spunk. And Deacon, he was pretty calm in that meeting, but I could see the gears moving in his mind. He’s a calculating one, that’s for sure. And will never show his hand. I bet he gives great head.”
“If we all survive, I’ll make sure we have fun with both,” I said.
“As long as he’s willing, Théoden. Deacon is under Kendrick’s protection.”
I rolled my eyes and waved my hand. “Yes, yes, I know. For fuck’s sake.”
Tylendel laughed.
Twenty minutes passed before Deacon arrived on all fours with a sword on his back and a duffle bag in his mouth, along with other members of his pack who also looked the same. All one hundred wolves. Perhaps I should have asked for more.
“I’ll be back,” I said, then leaped off the rooftop, landing in front of Deacon. “I hope you don’t plan on staying in that form?”
He transformed and it took about two minutes for him to revert back into his human body. The entire process looked excruciating and I couldn’t imagine having to do that on full moon nights. He was breathing hard and sitting on the pavement as he gave himself time to recover.
He looked up at me. “It was faster to reach you this way than by car.”
“I want you and your pack in the Haven Tunnel. It’s underground and leads to two vampire sanctuaries.” I gave them directions on how to get there. “I want you to protect that while Josef’s wolves protect the other entrances and vampire residences,” I said.
Deacon rose and I did take a look at his beautiful body. Yes, indeed, he was alluring and now that I was bound to him, I wanted to claim him as a dragon wants to claim their pretty things. I reached out, grabbing him by his ass, my hand over my brand, and pulled him closer to me. “You’re mine,” I growled, giving his ass a squeeze.
He shoved me back, and I let him. “Not according to Kendrick,” he said with a wink. “And after tonight, I consider our alliance paid in full. You helped me gain my territory over Selena. And by doing this, I’ll help you protect your territory. We’re even. Don’t come for my pack again.”
I smirked, but didn’t respond.
He raised a dark eyebrow. “I mean it.”
“Oh, I know.”
He snarled, but turned to face his pack and gave them the command, then picked up his bag of clothes. They ran off in the direction I gave them and Deacon took a few steps back, then took off running as well. Even in human form, he was fast. Yes, I wanted him. I wanted to watch my cock slide between those plump lips while he looked up at me with those intense, ice blue eyes. I sighed and flew back up to join Tylendel.
“Well, he feels emboldened,” Ty said, having heard our conversation.
“Too much,” I commented.
I’d have to deal with Deacon later. right now, I was on alert. The sun began to rise over the horizon, turning the sky various shades of blue. It was very pretty. Birds chirping was another clear indicator that morning was upon us. I knew my vampires were as safe as they could be and well-guarded. More dragons and wolves joined me on the rooftop, there were about a hundred of us now. Two more hours passed and the sun was shining brightly. The heat of its rays warmed my skin. Before I became a dragon Knight, this would have been a rare feeling, but I was used to it now. Having to rise in the afternoon every day to tend to my duties made me relate more to my dragon half than my vampire these days.
I looked across the way to see my sons Noel and Somchai basking in the sunlight. I wanted them by my side or close enough that I could protect them. I called to them with my Sire abilities and they looked in my direction. They turned to one of the dragons there and he nodded, then wrapped his arms around them. Within seconds, he’d flown them to my rooftop, landing softly.
“Is everything all right, Father?” Noel asked.
I nodded. “I just wanted you near me.”
“So, I’ve been chatting with the dragons about how to fight other dragons, because these vampires are pretty similar, Sire,” Somchai said.
“They have every advantage they can get, including the speed and cloaking abilities of vampires. But you’ll be able to sense those weaker than you and be faster. Remember to rip their hearts out by going under the ribcage. The swords you have are made from dragon bone, which is hard and sharp enough to cut through dragons, so these vampires should be easier to kill. Aim for their heads, hearts or slice them in two,” I said, giving my best advice. “Stay by my side at all times, I will not lose another child.”
“Will slicing them in two kill them, Father?” Noel asked.
I nodded. “If done right, slice just under the ribcage.”
“Yes, Father,” they said at the same time.
I reached out, caressing both of their faces. “Somchai, you have pleased me greatly in this short time. I knew you would be perfect as a child of my line. Trust your instincts.”
