I nodded. “At this point, it doesn’t matter. Ara is taking a chance by coming here.”

“He will face off with Alexander, if this is his destination. They will do so on the very land Ara took from him. If he really wanted to hurt Ara, his strongest base to takeover is New Haven.”

“More importantly, Odin Colony,” I said.

Ty’s eyebrows arched. “Ahhh, yes. It’s where the leaders of his alliances reside. Do you think he’d be foolish enough to challenge Josef and Kendrick?”

“He’s feeling pretty powerful right now. He might just try, especially since he knows they are fighting his army. Your greatest weapons are useless against him,” I said.

“And just what do you think is our ‘greatest weapon’?” Ty asked me.

“Fire, venom, flight,” I replied.

He shook his head. “Remember this, Théoden. A dragon King’s strongest weapons are his Knights. We can do things his other dragons can’t do.”

I nodded. “Purefire,” I said. And I was a bit disappointed that it was an ability that I didn’t possess.

“Very much so. The second strongest weapon of dragons, and why we are so incredibly hard to defeat, is our ability to create lust and crippling pleasure,” Ty said proudly.

“Well, that’s another thing, his vampires can also create pleasure when they touch you,” I said.

Tylendel nodded. “I’m aware. My King has informed us. As a Knight, I can cut off the pleasure.”

I cocked both eyebrows. “Can I do that?”

He shook his head. “No, being a half breed, you are at a disadvantage. But you have other skills as a vampire. Use those.”

“Oh, trust me, I will.”

“So, why didn’t you cut it off when you were with Tarnus?” I asked, curious.

Tylendel frowned. “Why would I dare insult a Prince like that? Or our King and High Chancellor for that matter? The lessons he taught me only made me stronger.” He sighed and cocked his head. “Yes, I know I complained a great deal, but it was mostly my ego talking. I’m not used to being reprimanded, especially over my sexual prowess.”

I chuckled and nodded, understanding. “Let me inform my sons of the new information.” I closed my eyes and contacted my boys and told them what I’d learned from the conversation with my brothers.Be mindful,I said before ending the connection. My cell phone began to ring and I pulled it out and checked the screen. I answered. “Finally. Where are you?” I asked Deacon.

“Just entered the city. Where do you want me and my pack?”

“Meet me at Haven Tower.”

“Give me twenty minutes.”

I ended the call and looked at Ty. “Deacon is here.”

Tylendel smirked. “I wonder if he brought an arsenal. Never saw a wolf pack so eager to use guns, missiles, and the like.”

“He’s a man that does whatever it takes to win. That much, I know of him,” I said.

“I’d love to fuck him. Josef too,” Ty said.

I looked at him. “Really?”

He nodded. “We met… many years ago when Evander had sent me to speak for him to get the Alphas of wolf territory organized.”

I nodded, remembering the date. “Ara had sent Nolan to speak for him.”

“Josef was fearless and had quite a lot of sass,” Ty said. “Even insulted me by calling me a ‘lackey’.”

I laughed. “That one sometimes speaks before he thinks, but he can back it up. I will say that. He was one of the toughest opponents I'd ever had to fight.”
