“And I could just call the cops on you! You’ve given me all the information I need to tell them you’re holding another woman hostage!” Blossom screeched. Chance let his head fall back and laughed loudly.

“Do you seriously think I’m that stupid? Try to call the cops Blossom. Go on. I dare you.” He looked at her with piercingly dark eyes.

“What are you going to do to me if I come there?” she asked lowly.

“I want you to make love to me,” he said softly. “And then I want you to pledge your heart and your soul to me.”

“You’re not going to get away with this.”

“You’ll be amazed at what I can get away with, Blossom.” The tone of his voice was dark again. But then he smiled at her.

“Still, I’m a reasonable man. You can bring your cop if you want,” he said. Blossom’s brows furrowed.

“What game are you playing?” she asked.

“A game of pride,” Chance replied, looking away from her. He checked his watch.

“Until tonight my sweet Blossom.” He reached into the inside of his suit jacket and pulled out a flower. Blossom refused to take it when he tried handing it to her. Gritting his teeth, he gripped her by the wrist and dragged her onto his lap.

“I cannot wait to turn you back into my obedient Blossom,” he gritted

“Oh, I can’t wait until tonight Blossom. You’re gonna be in for it,” he sneered evilly. Gripping the back of her head, he forced her forward, pressing his mouth down on hers. Blossom resisted and fought against his lips. She kept her mouth locked tightly, not wanting to have to taste him or allow his tongue in her mouth.

“I bet later on you won’t be resisting me,” he threatened. He opened his door and pushed Blossom out. She fell in a heap on the ground before the SUV peeled away.

“Blo—Blossom!” Ryder was heaved over, holding his stomach as he made his way towards her. Jumping up, she ran to him, knowing that he was probably too weak to make it all the way to her. The next neighbor was too far down to have witnessed anything and that was probably why Chance had planned this all the way he did.

“I got you,” Blossom huffed. She put Ryder’s arm over her shoulders and hobbled back towards the house with him. Blood was dripping from his forehead, as well as his knuckles.

“I’m so sorry. Are you hurt? Did he hurt you?” Ryder gritted out.

“Don’t worry about me! I’ll be okay!” He groaned as his bones went limp. Blossom wasn’t able to manage his dead weight so the both of them went down hard.

“Come on Ryder! Just a little bit more! I need your help to get you back inside,” Blossom tried to encourage him. He was knocked out cold however. Blossom struggled, as he fell party on top of her. Grunting, she tried pushing him off her so that she could stand herself and think of another plan to get him back in the house.

“Ughhhh, come on!!!!” She shouted, pushing at him hard. A revving motorcycle made the ground beneath her seem to vibrate.

“SynTanner?!” she shouted out, unable to see him from her position on the ground.” Ryder’s weight came off her body with ease. Sighing in relief, she laid on the ground, looking up at SynTanner’s fit body as he hoisted Ryder up.

“Can you walk?” he asked her. Blossom nodded as she slowly got to her feet. Jerking with his head, he forced Blossom to walk in front of him. With SynTanner carrying Ryder, they all retreated back to his home. His bike was left in the driveway and he didn’t care to even put it in the garage as they went inside. Blossom closed and locked the front door; thankful it hadn’t been broken in the attack.

“Shit,” SynTanner whistled. His entire living and dining room had been trashed.

“Oh my god,” Blossom gasped.

“I—I’m sorry,” Ryder whispered.

“Nothing to be sorry for my friend. I asked you to protect her, and you did. These things are all materialistic. I can buy more,” SynTanner responded. He carried Ryder to a guest bedroom upstairs, laying him on the bed carefully.

“Get his shirt off. I have a first aid kit,” SynTanner said as he rushed out of the room. Blossom hurried to get Ryder’s shirt off. He groaned in pain but thankfully he had no open wounds on his stomach.

“That dude. Whoever he was. He was angry but he wasn’t really much a fighter. Still, he swung and threw things at me to get me down,” Ryder explained. When SynTanner returned with the first aid kit, he sat next to Ryder on the bed and began cleaning and patching up the wound on his forehead. Blossom did the same for Ryder’s knuckles.

“It was another one of my clients,” Blossom sighed. “First Douglas with the shooting and now Jon? How is he getting people to do this kind of shit for him? He must be threatening them.”

“Nah, he’s not threatening them. I tried to talk to that man before he attacked me. He was there because he secretly had something against you for not accepting a date invite. Chance just happened to manipulate them into thinking they could get back at you,” Ryder huffed.

“He had me SynTanner. In his car,” Blossom admitted. “He told me to come tonight to his mansion and to bring you.”
