‘Would you like some wolf cuddles?’

“Always.”

He laid down next to her, so she could lean against his shoulder and thread her fingers through his fur.

“What do you guys want to eat for dinner?” Ann asked, still cuddled up to Kareem.

“Nothing fancy. Whatever we come up with, I'll help you.”

“If I didn’t know you better, I would tell you there’s no need, but I won’t be able to get you to sit down and rest anyways.”

Blake hummed amused and grinned at his sister, while Kareem chuckled. “We can have some baked potatoes and Ann can make some salad from the garden with it.”

“Sounds good to me,” Ann agreed.

‘I like it too.’

“Blake and I both like it.”

“It’s settled then.”

Not What It Seems

After dinner, Niev and Blake went back to their cabin. The sun was setting, with the last rays covering the tips of the mountains in a beautiful orange glow. Even though she’d had a relaxed day, Niev was tired. She was glad that the twins didn’t give her a hard time, but at the same time wished the fatigue would fade.

Blake chuckled as he opened the door. “I don’t think the exhaustion will ever fade, even after they arrive.”

“We might have to have sleeping schedules for ourselves: one sleeps while the other takes care of the girls.”

“Or we can just hand them over to their grandmother and take a nap together.” Blake’s mood was light. His body and mind were at ease, more than she’d ever felt.

“We should go on vacation more often.”

He followed her to the bedroom, his fingertips trailing down her spine. “Mhm… I do like that idea.”

In the bedroom, he tugged on her dress. There were no words needed, his desire radiated into her soul. It was always there, though she felt him push it aside around others.

“I could spend all day in bed with you.”

His low, gravelly voice made goosebumps appear all over her skin. Pulling the fabric over her head and tossing it aside, he started kissing her shoulders.

“I love all of you. If I could, I would worship you every second of the day.”

His fingertips gently teased her skin as he ran them down her sides. Leaning into his kisses, she soaked up all the bond’s feelings, his love and admiration wrapping her in a warm, fuzzy cocoon.

During her upbringing, she often had the feeling of not belonging, being the odd one out for not being her parents’ biological child. She’d felt the same when she arrived at the Timber Pack, but as soon as Blake had revealed his true identity she’d felt as if he was her place to be. He wasn’t just a person, but she’d realized that he was her home, her place on earth. Blake had always accepted her, since the first night he’d saved her at Cliff’s gas station.

“I wish I could have been truthful since day one. It would’ve been less hurtful for you.”

His lips traveled up her neck to her ear, gently kissing each inch of skin he touched. His hands had reached her hips and now caressed their way to her bump. She leaned into him, not just for physical support but mental too. He’d become her anchor, the roots that grounded her.

“I love you, Blake.”

“I love you too, beautiful. Now lay on the bed so I can show you just how much.”

He unclipped her bra and pushed her toward the bed. With wobbly legs, she climbed on the bed and laid on her back. Her head slightly propped up on the pillows, she watched him come closer. More than willing to welcome him, she spread her legs. His eyes eagerly rested on her as he licked his lips and settled between her thighs.

With a sweet, loving touch, Blake ran his fingers up her legs. Though his touch was slow, he didn’t mean to tease–was being appreciative of her body.
